With the NFL's resources, Im not sure why they can't do a massive resort bubble for each team including their families??

Lets players and their families live and practice at a resort. Pilots, medical staff...everyone that will travel to a game in the bubble to.

Then travel to games same day. Fly, Play, Fly back and get tested again before reentering the bubble??

I don't know, Im sure there is an incredible amount to it, but it seems like an NFL team could rent out a massive resort meant for thousands of people and then limit it to team personnel and family only.

The NFLPA says 72 players leaguewide were known to have tested positive for COVID-19 as of last Friday, according to information made available to players. With roughly 2,800 players currently on rosters, that represents about 2.5% of the workforce.

The #Chiefs are telling players camp is a go, with rookies and QBs to report for COVID-19 testing Monday, sources tell me and ⁦‪@RapSheet‬⁩.

There's no agreement on outstanding issues between the NFL and NFLPA, I'm told. But team has right under the CBA to tell players to report.

Texans have been given the go-ahead to start bringing rookies into their training facility on Monday, July 20th for COVID testing and then the onboarding process, per source.

Physicals and equipment fitting the next two days for rookies, QBs and select vets. Full squad slated to report on 7/25. It’s up to the NFLPA to file a grievance if clubs are not in compliance with health and safety protocols.

One idea endorsed by the NFL competition committee to help teams cope with positive COVID-19 tests in 2020: Allow unlimited players to return from injured reserve and non-football injury lists, after just 3 games instead of 8. It’s been discussed as NFL and NFLPA talks continue.

NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith says on a media call that union officials had a call last night with team doctors, who gave the opinion "with a couple reservations" that it is safe to open training camp.

Some of the NFL's travel rules for this year:
-No use of public or private transportation to or in other cities.
-No leaving hotel to go to restaurants open to public.
-No room visits by anyone outside the traveling party.
-No use of shared hotel facilities (pool, gym, etc.)

This season is going to be a disaster. It just feels like they say a lot but nothing substantial officially ever comes of it.

I’ll still watch, what else is there to watch? Freaking political nonsense? No thanks.

The NFL’s latest proposal to players includes just one preseason game, rather than two, sources say. Players still want no preseason games and a longer acclimation period. But a sign the sides are working and getting closer to a plan for 2020. More now on @gmfb @nflnetwork

NFL and owners now will be conducting a league meeting at noon ET today as they try to finalize health and safety measures, financial arrangements, and reducing or eliminating preseason games, per league sources.
