People forget about Roger Wherli the 5 time first team all-pro cornerback. I think he was better than Aeneas Williams.

Fitz
Dand Dierdorf
Larry Wilson
Roger Wherli
I think that's fair. And I certainly couldn't debate it as I never saw Roger play live.

I personally feel (and I know that I am a huge homer) that Aeneas Williams may be the 2nd best cover corner the game has ever seen. But I know all of this is debateable to some extent.

I believe the rules stated that a QB had to be included. Therein lies the answer to why the Cardinals are a franchise that has yet to win a SB. Sure, we can add Hart, Warner, Lomax, or even Charley Johnson. But we, as knowledgeable fans, know in our heart of hearts, that we've never had a QB that was either great enough, or was with us long enough (Warner), to deserve to be on that Mt. Rushmore. A decade from now, maybe Murray is that guy chiseled in stone. Again, maybe.

I know my dad gushed about how great Nightrain Lane was. I am finding it hard to believe he is not up there. I also don't agree a QB HAS to be on the mountain. If you have four better players, then so be it!

Good to see a few old Cards mentioned, but what about Dan Dierdorf???

You must be registered for see images attach

HOF lineman, huge, fast and a very smart pass rusher, also the biggest man I EVER saw in a room I was in! His hat size had to be 9 and 7-eighths

I have no problem with Conrad Dobler not being mentioned, BTW ;)

This has to be the list IMO:

Fitz - The greatest Cardinal ever.
Dierdorf - 5x 1st team all pro. 1x 2nd team. 6x pro bowl.
Aeneas - 4x 1st team all pro. 1x 2nd team. 8x pro bowl.
L. Wilson - 6x 1st team all-pro, 1x 2nd team. 75th and 100th NFL anniversary team. DPOY in 66. One of the greatest defensive players ever of ANY era.

Wehrli, Warner and Hart just outside looking in.

Pat shouldn't count. But name the stadium after him.

Chandler & Warner weren't/haven't been here long enough IMO.

I agree 100% with these picks.

I think that the Mount Rushmore should include a mix of many time All Pros and Pro Bowls, and also consideration for where they were ranked within their position group.

This list is spot on.
