So happy for Tork! ASU player picked first in the MLB draft and taken by the Tigers as a third baseman.
I think that Tim Corbin has to be the most boring, non excited analysts ever at a major sports league draft! Jonathon Mayo
is hands down better than Coach Martin.
Have not seen him smile once, not even when he interviewed his own player
Austin Martin.

Yea Spencer Torkelson. He is the fourth Sun Devil to be drafted number 1 in MLB draft.

Torkelson is the fourth player out of Arizona State to go No. 1 overall, the first in over 40 years. He joins Rick Monday (1965), Floyd Bannister (1976) and Bob Horner (1978). ASU has now had a record four players taken first overall.

I’m not going to act like I’ve done deep baseball scouting, but from what I’ve read on him if he would of continued to have the type of season he was currently having in the shortened season he would of gone much higher. He wore down a bit towards the end of his sophomore season and scouts wanted to see if it would happen again this year but were unable to due to season being shortened. In the starts he did make though he was as dominant as any college pitcher out there.

Great start for Hazen. Jarvis was having a hell of a season before it got shutdown. Cecconi was slated to go in Round 1 so mini steal at #33. Will be interesting to see if ARZ continues its run on arms, Cole Wilcox is still available but don't think he makes it to #90.
