For me I have 2, although one wasn't a player. That one was Joe Bugle. I liked what he was trying to do with our team. Not sure our owner of GM was really on the same page as him. I thought he was making advances in building a team we could have one day enjoyed. But needless to say we brought in that worthless blowhard non-cardinal Buddy Ryan.

Player wise, for men it's Josh McCown. I thought he was by far the best and with most potential than all those qbs that we paraded yearly on the Cards carousel back in those years. That last game of the season where we knocked the Vikes out of the playoffs on the games last play was a great highlight from that period. That play and pass was sort of similar to the famous Montana to Clark pass vs Dallas.

Here is the life tv broadcast of that game starting with our recovery of the onside K which led to the last second td.

Boldin and Aeneas seem to way over shoot the topic of less respected players.
Tim MacDonald
Jay Novacek

Totally agree TigToad they don’t fit in the spirit of the thread IMO.

Neither does McDonald dude was a straight up stud and left in a big $ FA deal to SF. No lacking in respect imo.
