I'm guessing Okudah won't be there.
Thomas, Wills, Simmons, Lamb or Wirfs.

I think Brown compares to Danny Shelton or Vita Vea in recent years.
that's a really good comparison -- style of play, size and athletic profile all kind of match.

Vita Vea seemed way stronger...41 is huge.

Wow...love it!

Wendell Bryant busted because of off-field stuff not ability. Bad comp as Derrick Brown is considered a hard worker.

If you the bust comp for Derrick Brown, it would be Dan Williams. I say that not as a knock of Dan Williams but more that you would be drafting a NT, non-pass rush option, as a top 10 pick who would play limited snaps and come off the field on passing downs.

I wonder if you could also compare it to Alan Branch, who was a bust for us (33rd overall and started 3 games in 4 seasons, which seems impossible). He was played out of position as a Nose Tackle but had significant success as a strongside DE and 5-technique. He wasn't a star, but he played another seven years in the league and won a ring or two getting a lot of starts and snaps.

scouts talk about "mean" or "plays with an edge"--

I think knocking a guy out of the play and to the ground, and then deciding to hit him on the ground counts as "mean"

but Dan Williams was specifically drafted to do just that. I loved Dumpster Dan

I agree with your assertion that Dan Williams was drafted to be a run stopping NT. I tried to acknowledge that when I said that the bust comp was not a knock on Dan. Your point about Shelton and Vea is valid as well though I think I may be ok with drafting Vita Vea at 8.

Simmons
Okudah
Lamb
Kinlaw
Thomas - I guess, I am still undecided on the tackles

I hate Brown and will be pissed if he is the pick

CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

I'd probably trade down if the first four guys are on the board, I could stay in the Top 20, and pick up a pick in the 3rd round.

Okudah
Wills/Wirfs
Becton
Chaisson

Then Lamb, Then Jeudy, then Ruggs.

Trade down candidates Henderson, Jones, or McKinney.
