Worst case scenario should have been us having a chance to win the game. Can’t let them get 3 on their last possession.

Rubio’s triple - double is easily the most inconsequential triple double I have ever seen...

how do you figure. He kept us in this game missing Booker and Ayton. This should of been an easy win for Portland.

Monty made some questionable decisions in this one, culminating with the curious play drawn up at the end.

As for the refs, just note that the foul was challenged, and the replay actually confirmed the blocking foul...just as the replay in the Spurs game confirmed the ball off of Bridges' head.

Stop making excuses. The team is just not getting it done, and certain players continue to shrink from the challenge.

your a clown. Tell me why this team without Booker and Ayton should have beat a Portland team with the two best players on the court in Dame and CJ

this is a perfect example of players rising to the challenge not shrinking, but I honestly can’t figure out if your 15 or this is just an act.

You need closers to win the close ones. Y'know, like Ayton and Booker.

Once they're back tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how long it will
take for them to be at top form.

And where that will take us. It will be what it will be.

Go Suns. :suns:

Oubre just huge yet again. Sad, just too many turnovers. They play hard. Hopefully NOW, we can make true strides, with BOTH Booker and Ayton together and at 100% the rest of the way. Please.

Suns just seem to have no luck.

I really hope we don’t miss the playoffs because of the last two games.

While it’s been a rough few games, I’m exited for the rest of the season. This team is doing so many things right. Play hard, share the ball, never give up. Can’t wait until tomorrow night.

Portland was missing it's starting center in Nurkic, just as we were missing ours in Ayton. And the Portland team we saw tonight had one of the worst records in the league.

Meanwhile, what has Mikal Bridges done offensively to justify using a lottery pick plus another first round pick on him? Outside of some streaky shooting, what has Cam done to justify using a lottery pick on him? What has Okobo done to justify taking him over Jalen Brunson? What has been done to fix the fact that the team has become a sieve defensively?

These are problems that the return of Booker and Ayton won't fix.

Blazers had three additional closers than us: the refs.

In case you haven't noticed, Booker hasn't been much of a closer this year.

Dame doesn’t knee Baynes in the nuts to draw a foul, it’s an awesome performance.

Stop blaming the refs. As with the end of the Spurs game, the refs' call was confirmed to be correct.

It's oddly one of his worst games despite a triple double. 4-14 from the field and turned the ball over 8 times.

Indeed. Like everyone else other than Oubre, Kaminsky (who still can't defend no matter how hard he tries to do so), Saric (who also still can't defend no matter how hard he tries to do so) and Baynes, Rubio shrank from the challenge.

Because he's been double- and triple-teamed.

Which is why I referred to the return of Ayton and Booker.

Allowing Baynes to settle in as backup Center. And moving
Kaminsky to backup Power Forward/instant offense.

And allowing Booker to concentrate on high scoring right
from the start of the game.

And allowing Rubio, who had a triple-double tonight, to
have even more assists than his, what is it, 3rd best in
the NBA.

The positive domino effect. As long as the Suns can stay
healthy, they will now have a mostly solid foundation.

A player whose specialty is assists depends on the players around him.

Clearly, the Suns have been playing backups a lot of minutes around him.

You're blaming that on Rubio? I question your ability, or desire, to see
the big picture.
