Here is an early injury report and Cam Johnson (left hip soreness) is mentioned.

Kellan Olson‏Verified account @KellanOlson

Aron Baynes (left calf strain), Mikal Bridges (left finger sprain) and Cam Johnson (left hip soreness) are all probable for tomorrow night. That's the first time Johnson's left hip has come up. He had surgery on it in 2018 and had problems dating back to high school.

It makes sense for Baynes to come off the bench until Ayton returns.

sounded like Monty was open to having Baynes come off the bench again tonight. Mentioned easing Baynes back in and also building continuity with the second unit. Three more games until Ayton is back.

As much as I'd like to see Baynes start at PF alongside Ayton,
it makes sense for him to come off the bench (as Ayton's
backup, or perhaps PF backup with the game on the line)
for the rest of the season.

Yes. I think we have found that Baynes is best coming off the bench to backup Ayton. He has been a career backup and I mean that in a positive way. His minutes are best limited. Baynes could play some power forward if needed but I like him primarily backing up Ayton.

I thought it had all been checked out before the Suns drafted him. Hopefully it is nothing more than a sore hip but it's hard to ignore the history.

I'm not going to overreact to this just yet. For all we know he just took a fall or a hard shot to his hip, this could easily be unrelated to his minor hip procedure. Granted, because of his history, this is one of those times when you can't tell whether the hoofbeats are from a zebra or a horse but time will tell.

Memphis isn't a good team (obviously) but I was surprised by some of the results when looking through their schedule. They have some bad losses but they also have road wins against GS, Minnesota, San Antonio and Charlotte along with home wins against Brooklyn, Minnesota and Utah.

They’re young but talented. Up and down. Can’t sleep on anybody in this league. Heck even the two prior years’ suns team beat some other teams.

They swept Milwaukee last year!

But, this is one of those games that is a good test for these young Suns. Can they get and stay focused for a 'lesser' team and take care of business? May be beating a dead horse but if they are serious about playoffs the answer has to be yes.

Here are starting lineups.

Gina Mizell‏Verified account @ginamizell

#Suns-Grizzlies about to tip:
Memphis starters: Morant-Brooks-Crowder-Jackson Jr.-Valanciunas
Phoenix starters: Rubio-Booker-Oubre-Saric-Kaminsky
Baynes will come off the bench again, both to limit his minutes and to gain chemistry with the second unit pre-Ayton return

'Good to see.

I hope they don't ease off and play down to the level of their opponent.

I'd like to see a replay of the Warriors game but with the Suns closing it out proper this time.

Booker (0-2) needs to get it going.
