I'm not sure it's completely an effort thing. I think it is more of a communication/synergy thing. Early in the year everyone was healthy and had formed a synergy on defense that just doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

The team can only do so much to compensate for four awful defenders in Saric, Kaminsky, Jerome and Cam, a below average defender in Booker, a good team defender but poor one on one defender in Rubio, and an erratic defender in Oubre.

I think you're ..... right in ..... saying ..... that. And I've ..... thought ..... that ..... ..... ..... .

As I've mentioned, and messaged Al McCoy, KRay is used to announcing football, which has
a lot of dead time between plays.

He is not fit to do basketball play-by-play (which he doesn't attempt to do).

He is not as bad as Steve Albert was (no one is as bad as Steve Albert was), but KRay most
of the time doesn't pay attention to what is happening on the court.

I know we're watching TV (as opposed to listening on radio), but there is more to announcing
TV play-by-play than waiting until plays are over to mention it, which he doesn't always do.

And it is his job to set the timing in the "booth" for the color commentator, which he doesn't do.

I can't accurately know if I like Kevin Ray or not. The Suns could have Amazon Polly call the games, and I'd find it an improvement over Steve Albert.
