Admittedly I do not know college players all that well and had the computer pick. Don’t know any of these guys.

Based on remaining schedules, I think we will be around pick 7 or 8.

Tampa, Pittsburgh, & Cleveland are the swing games for us and 2 out of three will be at home.

Win all three and we pick between 10 & 15.
Win 2 and we are 8 to 11
Win 1 or None and we are 5 to 8.

I think 5 - 10 - 1 gets us the 8th or 9th pick.

The best part of this upcoming draft is that Miami tanked for a Quarterback who may never play again and the Bengals have the top overall pick and will likely take the best QB in the draft. A cautionary tale in attempting to lose to set up a draft pick

They may still draft Tua if their medical team thinks he will make a full recovery. They have another year of Rosen so Tua may just sit year 1.

That would be great! He's really come on. If Metcalf comes off at bottom of the 3rd rd. last season there could be a chance Cardinals add another WR in another deep draft for them. I took them where they fell. Gabriel Davis was another value grab there.

Whomever we pick with our #1, he's got to have freakish athletic ability and dominant football skills.

No more lunchpail types who are short on size, speed or talent - we need a handful of young players who can take over games.

& I'd be leery of Budda or Reddick (or even Badger) types whom the coaches feel would somehow be terrific at a different position. Even when those guys work out, they're betrayed by short shelf-lives or go onto the open market earlier than expected. Just build a solid roster

Things got a little murkier yesterday as the Bengals, Redskins, and Dolphins all won.
Our tie will be very relevant one way or the other after this season.

As much as I love the idea of Derrick Brown...after yesterday and pre-free agency, round 1 is Andrew Thomas, Tristian Wirffs, or trade back for Tyler Biadasz. There is too much DL talent in the NFC West to ignore upgrading the offensive line. IMO.

If it’s Andrew Thomas that’s fine but you can’t pass on a guy like Derrick Brown for the 2nd 3rd or 4th best OL.

Brown is just to good.

Wirffs is arguably better than Thomas.

I ran one...(only did 5 rounds)
  • 7 Tristan Wirfs, OT Iowa

  • 39 Brycen Hopkins, TE Purdue

  • 71 Solomon Kindley, IOL Georgia

  • 103 Antoine Winfield Jr. , S Minnesota

  • 132 Denzel Mims, WR Baylor

I do agree, but seeing the 49ers wreck s*** with Bosa & Buckner as the lead dogs & of course Aaron Donald for the Rams, it’s annoying to see us struggle to control the LOS on defense. I know I’m beating a dead horse, but just imagine us getting Derrick Brown then Creed Humphrey/Biadasz in the same round if we traded Peterson. So aggravating. I’d be fine if we go DL then OL or vice versa. We just can’t double dip for both.

Yes, I would love a veteran secondary and a young, athletic defensive front. Free agency may allow us to be able to get Derrick Brown and I would be happy as well. I can't see Humphrey and Biadasz dropping, but if they did, I would trade back up into the 1st round to grab one.
