Thursday the Suns face the Hawks at Talking stick Arena.

The Hawks (4-6, 2-2 away) are coming off an impressive 125-121 win over the Nuggets in Denver on Tuesday. Trae Young went for 42 points and 11 assists. The Hawks will be missing John Collins who is suspended.

Also on Tuesday the Suns (6-4, 4-3 home) dropped a 123-115 game to the Lakers.

The Suns have only two games remaining on their home stand. It would be disappointing if the Suns finish less than .500 in this stretch. After the Hawks they face the Celtics on Monday.

Game time is 7 p.m. MST. It will be televised on FSAZ.

This is what I expected Trae Young would be. Luka is doing a bit more than I expected. Ayton a bit less—because he has been suspended primarily.

However, I now think that Trae would not be as good of a fit with Booker as I thought he would be.

If I were looking at the 2018 draft today, I'd draft Doncic #1 although I still like Ayton.

However, if the Suns traded down and got a ton of assets for the #1 pick and drafted Trae Young I'd be elated. I can't imagine him not being able to play with Booker. It would be much like the Portland backcourt.

@AzStevenCal really liked Trae Young. I liked Young as well but I was like he might be too fragile and may not be able to get his shot off in the NBA. In retrospect, Trae Young was worthy of consideration for the #1 pick although most would have laughed about it at the time including me.

Yeah, it seems like Ayton's stats have been horrible since he's been suspended. What gives?

It would have been interesting to see how Booker and Doncic would have co-existed, both being alphas and all.

these are the game we gotta win if we want to make a legit run to the playoffs this year. beat the majority of the bad/mediocre teams at home, gets some solid Ws against the league's best at home, hope to go .500 on the road.

hoping for a bounce back from the Lakers loss.

Monty on Trae Young.

#Suns coach Monty Williams on Hawks star Trae Young: “It’s just different with Trae. You almost have to play at halfcourt against him, where the last game (against the Lakers) it was in the paint.”

Suns can't pass the ball down low. They may have to change their strategy.

Suns needed that 3 from Frank.

They trail 19-13.

Trae Young's passing is crazy good not to even mention his shooting.

The Suns lose the quarter 33-31 on a Hawks 3-pointer.

Offense rules.

As long as, if it's close, we win the final six minutes of the game.
