week 1 and already have offensive line players missing games. who the hell is the backup since we got rid of our other tackle? one of the waiver castoffs? Dont tell me our backup center will be the RT

Toth is listed 2nd on the depth chart.

Keim is absolutely worthless. Yet another injury prone POS doing what injury prone players due.

Come on how is this Keim's fault?

We got him for a 6th. That is good value if he plays even 6 games.

We only have 2 picks in the top 2 rounds - the first one had to be murray, the second to get Murphy makes perfect sense. So I don't know how you expected him to get another non injury prone tackle when there is a huge shortage of them.

Did you want him to trade for Tunsil and give up what Houston did? I don't think so.

OH BOY! A backup RT will be who doesn't know this offense and was not in training camp.

Jesus, what type of professional NFL team is this? How is this even fair to a rookie QB who is starting his first game?

Gambo is trying to find out what the plan is.

He says it could be Murphy the T they just picked up, it could be Miles, it could even be moving pugh to RT since he has played it before, or even trying Cole at T

I vote for Miles or Murphy personally - even though I expect them both to be quite subpar.

I am pretty positive it is not going to be Toth though - he has almost no experience pass blocking at the NFL level at this point and has been out of football for over a year until 3 weeks ago. He is a developmental guy that they have had no time to develop yet.

So if it’s not Toth then why do they list him as the backup right tackle?

Gambo knows nothing except cards PR talking points. And why would the team say anything specific to anyone at this time?

So if it’s not Toth then why do they list him as the backup right tackle?

Because he is a run blocking specialist, and that is where they eventually expect him to play - but he is not nearly ready yet.

Did everyone seem to notice how pathetic BOTH O-Lines looked last night?? The best thing we could do to improve our OL this offseason was to draft the most elusive QB the NFL has seen in a long, long time. Maybe ever. Run fast Kyler. Your career depends on it.

If the Cardinals view rookie 7th round pick Joshua Miles as their swing tackle he’ll likely start for Gilbert. If not probably Justin Murray, who’s been with the team for four days and is on his sixth team in three years

Kyler better eat his Wheaties he's gonna be running often...then again I'd say that even if the whole OL was intact lol

It is not fair to Murray, Rosen or Palmer with these type of OL protections. This is embarrassing from Cardinals.

I'm sorry, but I would put Murray out there for 3-4 series. If he's getting killed I'd pull him. You CAN NOT let him have a blown ACL or put into concussion protocol in his first game.
This is like buying a million dollar guitar and you gotta mail it to another state and Keim chose to use a paper bag to send it in ...hoping it'll get there undamaged.
NOT GONNA HAPPEN

BA’s big chunk philosophy led to Palmer getting killed. Wilks coaching ineptitude combined with Rosen not being NFL ready led to last years ugliness. Can we please wait to see how our OL performs in Kingsbury’s system before we criticize this new regime. Please!!!!

I mean, did anyone really think our oline weren't going to miss games to injury?

I fully expected this knowing their histories.

Gambo claims this Murray guy we claimed is a good swing tackle, that several teams wanted to claim. I am skeptical since he has been on like 4 teams in 2 years but I have never seen the guy play.

He could be awful and still be better than what we had at RT for half of last year.

Why stop there? Let’s forfeit the game. Better yet, forfeit the season.

So you want to basically forfeit the season before it starts?

The oline we are putting out there is still far better than what Rosen had for half his starts at least.

I think you are being dramatic - Kyler is going to know the right side is weak, and he just may have to scramble more in this game than he would like too.

This is why the NFL is both good and bad:
1. Bad (injuries).
2. Good. Even if KM wasn't our QB, this gives us plenty to talk about. And for those who want to blame SK for bringing in Gilbert, I'm wondering if they wanted him to draft the Alabama OL with our #1 pick?
