I bet the NFL told the raiders to hold off on announcing any official action... And may have even told Mike mayock to cancel his presser..So that they wouldn't be distracting from tonight's opening festivities.

I have this mental midget on my fantasy team. Good thing I have Kenny Holladay and Tyler Boyd to fill the void. I also grabbed Dede Westbrook off of waivers.

Mike Mayock is an arrogant buffoon. Having tape on a guy in the 7th round on draft day and gloating about it does not a successful GM make. It would be like hiring the pumpkin pie eater (Mel Kiper) as a GM 15 years ago. Ridiculous

Some reports stating if the team suspends Brown, they no longer have to pay him his quaranteed $29 million...and can cut him with almost no cap hit.

Yep confirmed by ESPN. He’s a cancer time to move on it’s just a matter of time before another childish act occurs.

Never understood how Mayock was offered a GM position with 0 experience in a front office, scouting or coaching position.

So who’s the next up and coming GM?
Cris Collinsworth, Mel Kiper, Kay Adams?

I usually don’t root for ultimate punishment for these guys, but his antics this past year make me hope his contract gets voided and he loses his guaranteed money.

This behavior is beyond reproach and the Raiders simply can’t keep him around.

Mayock has a history with Gruden. Gruden picked Mayock.

Mayock just made one mistake, offering a contract for someone who lost his mind

Let’s be real here. Brown has had a complete meltdown let’s not act like it was even half this bad in Pittsburg.

I don’t blame Mayock or the Raiders at all. It almost seems like he’s having a breakdown. Bomani keeps bringing up somebody needs to check on this guy and see if he’s really ok.

He doesn’t really seem like he wants to play football

Bzz, incorrect! Try again :)

First, it's Pittsburgh. Second, oh, it was this bad in Pittsburgh. Most definitely. I'm here, so I used to hear all the fun (read moronic) stuff he got up to. The national media were just idiots about it and kept blaming Pittsburgh.

The only blame the "Stillers" bore--and it was moronic, don't doubt that--was letting him get away with it for so long. Chucking furniture out of high-storied hotels, live-booking a locker room speech from your coach about not leaking crap from the locker room, sitting out a late-season game that could get your team into the playoffs (how do you not suspend him?), are just a few of the things he did.

Yes, it WAS this bad in Pittsburgh. People just didn't want to admit it.

All true. Somehow, winning football, albeit not winning championships, was enough to not blow the lid completely off in Pittsburgh. The day the Steelers let this moron go, I knew they were immediately a better team.

If the Raiders take him back it opens the door for anyone to do anything they want.

If any one of us went into our bosses office and threaten to punch him in the face we would be escorted out of the building and fired on the spot.

He needs to be released and made to sit a year. Sadly if the Raiders do what they should do I’m afraid some other team ( cowboys , pats cough cough) will sign him.
