Cron back on the active roster. Clarke placed on the 10 day because inflammation. How about they just send the kid back to Reno where he belongs

So Cron can sit on the bench. And now he's third behind Walker and Lamb at 1B.

It hurts Reno to lose Cron's bat. It hurts Cron to lose playing time.

Way to go, Torey, the master of lose-lose situations.

If I were in Cron's position, I'd be in the GM's office begging to be traded.

Don't worry. Lamb won't last healthy very long.

Can we send Archie and Lamb back to Reno? Cron and Sherfy are both upgrades

Cron and Walker can’t play at the same time. Walker and Lamb can.

Why don't you hold Hazen accountable for these moves? TL is not making these moves on his own. Hazen is 100% part of the process and is almost certainly the final word on each move.

If done correctly, the General Manager and Field Manager would have worked out
how to give Cron a fair chance to show what he could do when he was brought up.

But it is still the Field Manager who picks each day's starting lineup. It is part of his
job description.

Before Lamb returned, what would have been the problem with starting Cron at 1B
for a week? Especially with Walker not producing at the time.

Remember, it was Lovullo who announced that Walker would reach 400 at-bats for
the rest of the season. Totally inflexible! Chris Walker had not earned that.

And I was a big Walker fan, even posting that, because he qualifies, he might be in
the running for Rookie of the Year. But his performance has not warranted that.

Might need to if Dyson goes down for a while... though, I haven't seen anything about his injury from last night?
CBS sports wire is saying he is day to day.

  • Diamondbacks' Jarrod Dyson: Leaves with hamstring cramp
    Rotowire 17H AGO
Dyson was removed from Wednesday's game against the Rangers with a right hamstring cramp.

Dyson looked to have the cramp occur while sliding into second base and exited the field with the athletic trainer. The 34-year-old went 3-for-5 with one run scored and one RBI prior to leaving the game. It appears to be a minor injury and he should be considered day-to-day.

Cron is getting treated like Duplantier/T.Clarke were early on in the season.
As I've posted, I'd rather see him get regular at-bats in the Minors until they are ready to give him a chance.

BB said he is rusty. A start here or there. Sporadic pinch hits.

At this point, I'd rather see him traded to a team who will give him a chance to succeed.

He's 26 years old. He's not a kid!

They ruined Duplantier with the same treatment.
