I'm liking it. The Suns get a power forward (aric) a shooter (Cam Johnson) and a point guard (Ty Jerome) and cap space (Warren trade).

That cap space is now gone we have no room for a good PG.

Cap space that they used up on Saric and Baynes while drafting a very poor man's version of Warren and a third back-up point guard.

They still made a few million in space. Baynes and Saric are about $9 million, #11 and #24 will get what #6 would. There are minimum player holds also, the Suns won't get hit with as many of those because they turned 2 players into 4. So they opened up about $2-3 million more in space and addressed backup C, backup PG, and now we only need to spend on a PG.

The Suns will have Tyler Johnson, Ty Jerome and probably add another veteran point guard.

So...two shooting guards masquerading as point guards, to go along with the two others we have in Okobo and Melton and a bargain basement veteran point guard for the same MLE we had going into today, while losing TJ Warren, the Milwaukee pick, and the opportunity to draft a point guard of the future.

This team just got a LOT worse today.

The only NBA players left on the roster are Booker, Ayton and Bridges.

It's about value for the picks. They started the day with #6 and could have drafted Coby White. While he's no Ja or maybe even Garland - he is a decent prospect that plays the PG. Instead they pick up a decent PF that plays little D (Saric) so they can drop to #11 to select a shooter they could have probably picked in the late 20s/early 2nd round. Earlier they gave away pick #32 and a solid shooter in TJ Warren (understand he was a salary dump). Just feels like they are deciding one puzzle piece at a time as I can't realistically believe this was their plan from the onset. Either that or their talent evaluation team will prove us all wrong... like the Giants taking Daniel Jones at #6 and trying to say everyone else will be proven wrong...

They turned two NBA players into one potential NBA player and 3 G Leaguers. Congrats.

And with adding Baynes, Saric, and two (dubious) first round picks... and presumably re-upping Oubre... where is all the cap space for that vaunted difference maker free agent we are supposed to be looking forward to?

Instead they pick up a below-average PF that plays absolutely no D (Saric) so they can drop to #11 to select a shooter (and nothing else) they could have probably picked in the late 20s/early 2nd round. Earlier they gave away pick #32 (which they could have used to pick a prospect better than what they picked at 11) and a solid shooter in TJ Warren (understand he was a salary dump). FIFY.

Adding Baynes is fine. We needed a backup center and 5 million is pretty cheap for what he brings. The Cam pick was awful, but this trade is a pretty decent one.

A power forward that can't guard anybody and plays slow, a shooter that was evaluated as one dimensional, a PG that is also slow and unathletic, we gained some cap space and then ate some of it backup... if we had a blender we could probably make one good player out of all this

This roster is shaping up all of the sudden. Just not sure what shape that is.

It's going to be even worse. At this point we are not re-upping Oubre. Just watch.
