I don't think it's a very controversial take. Kyler's fantasy upside is huge, rushing yards count for more than passing yards (2900 pass yds + 600 rush yds > 3500 pass yds). Obviously in real life you are going to choose Tom Brady to be your quarterback, but this is fantasy, and a dynamic QB in a high flying college system is going to put up points.

Actually, totally agreed.

In fantasy, Kyler's floor is sky high. Rushing production in an ESPN standard league with a 4 pt passing TD and 25 yards per point will statistically crush the pure passing QB.

You guys don't even understand how much I've been trashing Kyler to all of my fantasy leagues so I can end up drafting him late while everyone dares me to do it.

This is hard to believe since the Patriots have a very easy schedule.
Brady wasn't a top 10 QB last year in fantasy. In a standard league, with limited weapons and a strong running game, there's no reason to think he's going to outperform last year's rank, with Gronk gone.

Brady is the best of all time, but statistically, you're better off starting Kirk Cousins in fantasy.

Brady has always been a lower round fantasy QB. New England runs the ball too much for him to be an Aaron Rogers type of pick.

Relax, they have him as the 13th QB taken in the 13th round. His chances of scoring a ton of points from running the ball is also quite high and that goes a long way in fantasy.

Its because he is dual threat and in fantasy that can be a huge difference maker.

I remember being shocked that Cam Newton was a top 3 projected QB -- ahead of all the usual suspects

its the rushing TDs that does it for Cam.

Not at all but it's still fun and keeps me engaged especially when the Cardinals are having a tough year.

Not sure if I’m playing FFB this year (my league dissolved because of the whiniest grown men in history), but if I were playing, I’d avoid Murray until after the 10th round.

Standard rules where passing TDs are only 4 pts are lame.

Make every TD worth 6 points just like in reality but make interceptions -3 points to help balance things out.

Next year at this time, Mahomes & Murray will be projected 1 & 2 in Fantasy Leagues. And Mahomes may not necessarily be the #1. I don't play fantasy anymore, but if I did, I would definitely snatch up Murray this year when the opportunity presents itself.

Absolute poppycock.

Not to mention that Mahomes' value is going to plummet this year. Easy call on the top QB who go overdrafted and end up disappointing.

I've got a trade lined up in my dynasty league to move up to #3. As long as Jacobs and Montgomery go 1 & 2..... He's mine.

This is a smart move. I'm going to try to work something out myself. But I'm way late in the pecking order. I have a lot of QB assets/young talent though, and in a league where we can start two, there's a few teams where they only have one. I don't know who is in the top yet though. Plus our rookie draft is also going to be mixed in with the inclusion of defensive players.

I have the 4 pick and it's a bit of a quandry for me.

I already have Wentz, Foles, and Darnold but I don't see any of them having Murray's upside obviously.

Murray will probably last til 9. I am going to hope a RB falls and I can trade back to 7.

Those types of point leagues are just so boring. I love the high scoring games.

haha... Agreed. Never said it wasn't a homer pick. If Murray goes #2 (the guy is threatening it) then I would get Jacobs or Montgomery.

My team is awesome in that league so it would be a luxury. I won 2 out of the last 3 years. 14 team league.

Mark Ingram (who I would be trading for #3)
