I'm surprised with all the dislike in this thread. I thought it was a fun movie. They're not making a documentary here, so you have to ignore the goofy science.

I believe a sequel is in the works.

I remember loving this movie but I was high as a kite at the time. Unlike Lucy I was probably operating at 2% brainpower.
