Thursday's second single elimination game (vs. Connecticut tomorrow -- Thursday) starts at 5:30 Phoenix time on ESPN2.

We're counting on the Terrific Trio to lead the way. Go Mercury!

As the Mercury take on the Connecticut Sun, Washington just destroyed and eliminated L.A.by 32 points 96-64. They "beat L.A."

The winner of the Mercury-Sun series (they're saying first game is Sunday) will take on Seattle.

The Mercury is a tired team, having played two games in three nights, then traveling coast to coast -- 2 flights and a bus ride.

They've been hanging in for three quarters, down by a few points most of the time. But they lead by 1 after 3 quarters.

The have the Sun just where they want them. All they have to do is win the 4th quarter. Go Mercury!

Courtney Williams couldn't do it all and our Terrific Trio came through when they needed to. All three wound up scoring 23 or more.

The Mercury opens it up to win by ten - 96-86.

Brittney 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 blocks
DeWanna 23 points and 18 rebounds
And Talbot and January each with 5 assists.

I saw her facetiously clapping toward them, but didn't pick up on the 'commentary'.

The Mercury literally toyed with the Sun. Tired from the road trip, they hung in there until ... two minutes before the end of the game, when they opened it up. Beautiful!

I saw that and was like dayuuuuuum, then she acted all cool and collected in the interview, lol. Pretty sure it was directed at Courtney Williams (Instagram photo) or the one who clapped (Thomas?). Just my guess though.
