In my mind, I tried to rationalize Greinke's performance, while not knowing that he was fighting the flu.

He chose to not stay with the Dodgers or join the Giants, where he would continue to be starting pitcher 1-A. With the D-backs, he is clearly number 1.

Maybe in his new role, he was trying too hard. Thirty starts to go. Put this one aside and take on the rest with a positive attitude. And don't worry about how long it will take your ERA to lead the league.

I just hope his perfectionism doesn't get in the way of doing that.

But I don't like that he went public that he was frustrated by the Shelby Miller trade. That is not being diplomatic with the number 2 starter or the Front Office.

I have confidence that the coaching staff can keep him focused on winning.

Agree. SMH. Bring back the original colors, IMHO. Remember the days when you had a home uniform and an away uniform? Who needs a bazillion different combinations? This isn't Oregon football. Just suit up in something decent looking and play ball. Not that difficult.

Nice, gritty comeback win last night. Miller had the one bad inning and our pen looked solid! But Ahmed... Man he looks greatly improved at the plate! And of course his defense continues to sparkle.
