I must say I did not like the way my mock fell for the Cards at all.

1. Tampa Bay – Jameis Winston QB
2. Tenn – Leonard Williams DE
3. Jacksonville - Dante Fowler OSLB
4. Oakland – Amari Cooper WR
5. Washington – Shane Ray OSLB
6. N.Y. Jets - Vic Beasley OSLB
7. Chicago – Kevin White WR
8. Atlanta – Andrus Pete OT
9. N.Y. Giants – Devante Parker WR
10. St Louis Rams – Brandon Scherff OG
11. Minnesota – Malcom Brown DT
12. Cleveland – Marcus Mariota QB
13. New Orleans – Randy Gregory DT
14. Miami – Trae Waynes CB
15. San Fran – Dorial Green-Beckham WR
16. Houston – Marcus Peters CB
17. San Diego – Melvin Gordon RB
18. Kansas City – Arik Armstead DT
19. Cleveland – Danny Shelton NT
20. Philly - La’el Collins OT
21. Cincy - Ereck Flowers OT
22. Pittsburgh – Bud Dupree OSLB
23. Detroit – Todd Gurley RB
24. Cameron Erving C Would like a trade down if the draft went down like this
a. Eddie Goldman DT could be an option
b. Eli Harold, but I think it’s a reach here
25. Carolina – T.J. Clemmings OT
26. Baltimore – Kevin Johnson CB
27. Dallas – Eddie Goldman DT
28. Denver – Cedric Ogbuehi OT
29. Indy – Landon Collins SS
30. Green Bay – Byron Jones CB
31. New Orleans – Breshad Perryman WR
32. New England – Jordon Phillips NT

I think OLB Eli Harold would be a good pick there for the Cards. Additionally, you have some very good cbs available in Kevin Johnson and Byron Jones or DE/OLB Odighizuwa UCLA.
Bottom line, I'd be happy if the draft goes as you laid it out.

When I think of Erving leading our OL at Center, I start to drool. Oh how I wish we had a running game that kicked butt.

No, he moved from LT to C due to an injury to their starting C and having a top tackle recruit on the bench. He has rare athelticism and power for the C position which is why he is in demend. Was able to make all of the line calls a week or two after starting his first game at C without offseason prep.

Prospects 15 - 40 all bunch together so I get why you might prefer other players, but that doesn't make him a bad player.

Guys who I know are going to be good

Todd Gurley
Amari Cooper
Brandon Scherff
TJ Clemmings
Cameron Erving
Leonard Williams
Eddie Goldman
Vic Beasley
Shaq Thompson
Eric Kendricks
Preston Smith
Owa Odighizuwa
Marcus Peters

i m agree in what u say,i just prefer other players at 24

but tall center with long arms use to struggle against shorter and powerfull dt ?cause college and nfl are 2 different things

Calvin Pace, of course.

But Erving would be a terrific choice also. That O Line would run roughshod over the league for the next five years.

i take your B option ,eli harold, since when we drafted a 1st round pass rusher?
You do realize that Harold is much more widely considered a 2nd round prospect than Erving, don't you?

yes but has potential like when pierre paul was coming out of college plus we desperetely need a speed rusher, erving still has to learn the position.a 1st round for a center who just make the transition.. ??seriuosly

So, he's the guy you want to draft, so you're willing to ignore the same circumstances you're using to bag on Erving? Gotcha.

pass rushers have a different value then centers
rarely a center is drafted in the first round
if i have to choose between a prospect with high ceiling at OLB or C,i go with OLB,and not only cause it s a need
can u get it now or is difficult ?

No, that's not what I was calling you on. You claim Erving doesn't have a first round grade, so he can't be taken in the first. When others claim your prospect doesn't have a first round grade, you ignore the fact because he's the prospect you want.

It's cool to be high one one player and have that player be the guy you want. Hate on Erving all you want too. I was just pointing out the discrepancy in your approaches to the two prospects.

ESPN rates him as the 19th best player overall.
CBS Sports has him as the 25th best.
