Another Cards QB. The Cardinals benched another quarterback, this one rookie Ryan Lindley. The team has now benched or otherwise replaced Lindley, Matt Leinart, Derek Anderson, Kevin Kolb, John Skelton and Max Hall in recent seasons. Lindley has zero touchdown passes with seven interceptions. Lindley might not be finished in the NFL, so it's premature to list him among the five players in the last 50-plus years to finish their careers with no scoring passes and at least seven picks. But with the Cardinals' pass protection improving in recent weeks (Sunday excluded) and with Larry Fitzgerald on the roster, a quarterback with any staying power should have a touchdown pass after 171 attempts.

There must be a handful of teams who have only played one QB in the amount of time that we have played 8 (the 6 listed + Bartel & Hoyer).

And the sad part is he really thinks the system works. Gives credence to the old saying Keep doing the same thing over and over hoping for a different results. That my friends is "The System".

But he's not doing the same thing over and over. He would have just stuck with Skelton if that was the case.

Yes he is. Trying to race with the same broken down car by using different drivers. For 3 seasons now.

This system has taken two teams to superbowls in the last 6 years lol. Sorry that we haven't sucked enough yet to land a top two pick and be in a position to land a franchise qb. Keep crying and making senseless comments.

I think the point is that if you don't have the personal to run the system correctly, it might be time to tweak the system....just a little.

5-10 and out scored 113-20 in the last 3 division games and everything is fine. Only in Cardinal land. The Wishbone offense won National Championships but it doesnt work anymore. So just because something worked 3 years ago doesn't mean it will work this coming Sunday.

Also---no one can say Whisenhunt's system here in Arizona was the Pittsburgh system. In Pittsburgh, they made a true commitment to running the football, and that was insisted upon by the head coach Bill Cowher---that was Cowher's system.

The Arizona version under Whisenhunt is about everything Cowher would have extreme contempt for---no real commitment to the running game in favor of a chicken-***** dink and dunk with no commitment either to a vertical attack style passing game.

The system that worked here in Arizona was the one that was wrested away from Whisenhunt by Kurt Warner. Warner was the planner.

Warner knew more than anyone else the value, for example, of WR Anquan Boldin to the offense. Was even willing to donate $1M of his new contract to Boldin as a reminder of how much Boldin meant to him and the offense.

Well, guess what---not only did any semblance of a bonafide effective offensive system leave Arizona when Warner did---it also left Arizona when Boldin was traded away.

This has been a frustrating three years and I share your frustration Mitch.

We HAD a world-class passing attack. We now HAVE the most inept offense in the NFL.

I guess Michael Floyd is supposed to be some kind of replacement for Boldin, but he doesn't seem intelligent enough to pick up the offense, run the correct route or even line up in the right place. Anquan shot out of the gates his rookie season and contributed right away because he was a very intelligent former quarterback who 'got it.' In fairness to Kevin Kolb, he had nothing close to the receiving corps that Kurt had in Fitz, Q, and Steve Breaston.

It all boils down to an idiot coach who refuses to adjust his terrible system! You know like food coaches do adjust a system that the players you actually have can be successful! It's so simple but our stubborn coach just doesn't grasp or refuses to do it either way he should be gone!

There are some very good points in this.
