Meh... Once the Yotes beat the Blues in STL 4-1, I started to wonder how good they really were. I mean STL was still playing for top seed in the west.

Yotes have had a more difficult path thus far, imo. Both the Hawks and Preds (not as much) were picked to play for the cup. Don't think anyone had picked the Blues..

First game will be a huge key to the series.

The analysis I've heard on ESPN and NHL Network is that the Kings are just a friggin unbeatable juggernaut now. Yes, they have gotten hot at the right time and beaten two good teams, but that is the Coyotes as well.

To me, this is too close to call from any sane point of view. It will probably be an injury, a penalty or freak bounce that winds up giving the winner the edge.

The NHL, more so than any other of the big four, is unpredictable. Who cares what anyone thinks? The Coyotes would have lost both series if the pundits were correct. Let's just enjoy the first Western Conference Finals for the 'Yotes!

when the hell are they going to announce the rest of the schedule?! Oucheese want to go watch the Yotes melt Staples Center!

If the Lakers & Clippers both win this weekend, Staples Center is going to be crazy juggling three playoff series!!

New York finishes off Washington, so no home ice should the Coyotes get past LA

Schlemko has played reasonably well when called upon these playoffs.

Can't freaking wait for tomorrow.

Agree, he has done a good job. You have to remember he has not been playing at 100% due to his injury but he has filled in well. Need to set the tone tomorrow. FoxSportsAZ showed the 1-0 win against the Kings earlier this year and who could forget that first period when they had 3 big fights, including Smith going off on Kopitar. Should be a very intense series.

LA comes out aggressive and scores early. Need to start putting pressure on Quick.

Boedker scores to tie it 2-2 late in the 2nd period. Great hustle and pass by Doan to set up the goal. The Kings have dominated but they have to be disappointed that it's 2-2.

Could these announcers possibly be anymore pro LA?

Huh? You do know Dave Strader and Darren Pang announced Coyotes games for a couple of years a few years back? Pang has been pretty obvious this entire playoffs that he is showing some favortiism towards the Coyotes.

Kings score early in the 3rd period. Klesla got back too late.

The Kings are outplaying the Coyotes and of course they will be talking more about the Kings. No way Pang is going to be pulling for the Kings, especially since they just swept the Blues. I was afraid the Kings momentum from the Blues series would carry over and it has. Big powerplay opportunity coming up.

Coyotes are not going to beat the Kings if they get outshot 47-27. Need to regroup and come out strong in game two.

Off to game 2, hopefully the Yotes play a little more aggressive!
