Neil Rackers' field-goal percentages over the past four years: 89.3, 94.1, 90.0 and 84.2. He's 7-of-9 from 50-plus in the previous two seasons. Only his age (36) is a concern.

Feeley can stay just because his calm demeanor in pressure kicks is extremely valuable.

Zastudil needs to be upgraded though.

Zastudil is rated 3 stars? What is the scale? Out of 50?

Feely had one bad game in 2 years(@Seattle this season). I say keep him.

I dunno. Cards fans seem to love their specialists for what they were, rather than what they are. According to FootballOutsiders' metrics, every aspect of the Cards special teams play outside of the punt return teams were below average.

I'm especially thinking of kickoffs. I got shouted down when I noted that Feeley isn't showcasing a particularly strong leg in the preseason. In a league where kickers were booting it out of the back of the end zone 30+ times on average, Jay Feeley only notched 22 touchbacks on 71 attempts.

Feeley was 26th in the NFL in average return yardage. Maybe it was a one-time issue, but Feeley came into 2011 with a dead leg, and deserves to have competition at least in training camp.

I'm of the mind that both positions could be upgraded but P needs upgrading the most.

Feely's issues in my opinion center around being horrible at onside kicks, and a weak kickoff leg. In regards to FGs, he is good enough, but I'm not sure it is good enough to overlook his lack of other skills.

You mean all those early clutch misses that everyone conveniently forgot about? Just because you miss early and we lose by 3 doesn't mean the miss was any less relevant than an end of game loss by 3.

Noodle Leg Feely needs to go. How many times did we have to punt this year because Noodle Leg can't hit 50 yarders anymore.

San Fran won a division based on having a great punter and a great kicker.

We would be fools to stand pat with these two jokers.

i wouldn't mind using a draft pick on a highly rated P or K.

Echoing what most others have said. We definitely need a new punter, and could really use a stronger kicker.

How about Weatherford as I think he is a free agent. He did well for the Giants.
