This team has benefitted a great deal more from a certain HOF WR than it has with any of the players it has drafted over the years in the mid to late first round. I think adding additional first round pics in the 20's to get more dart throws or hoping we can maybe trade back up to get a good WR...
It looks like Monti might prefer to have pics to roll the dice with over guaranteed talent. If the cardinals drop down to 11 they will not come out of this draft with one of these top 3 WR's. Missing out on one of these guys when you have a huge need at WR would be serious malpractice.
C- I expected them to go after at least one stud difference maker on D in FA considering they stripped the roster down to rebuild status to have cap space and flexibility this season. Guess the goal is to only give up the 3rd most points this season instead of the 2nd most.
I agree. I think we are in a no lose situation because we will get MHJ or one of the 3 QB's will drop to 4, and Atlanta or the giants will come calling allowing us to get Odunze or Nabers and get most likely another 2nd round pick. Or we stay at 4 and still get a great WR prospect.
Yah I can't imagine them passing on the top QB again. They are in a position to get the #1 QB and #2 WR in the draft while also resetting their QB salary clock.
At 4 I think we are in a good spot. If MHJ is off the board a top 3 QB will be there and several teams are needing QB's this offseason. You get in position for Nabers or Odunze as Kyler desperately needs a WR1 and you cant risk not getting one of the top 3 in this draft.
