Who do the Cards hire if Whis is fired

Chris Petersen. Not sure if he could be lured away, but he has proven he is able to win big without dominant athletes (often the hardest adjustment to make for college coaches coming to the NFL).

    Suns @ Thunder 03-06-11

Last season, Nash with the 5th leading clutch scorer in the league. This season, he currently has a higher clutch FG% than guys like Billups or Bryant. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

    2011 Cardinals: Off-Season Wishes

If we don't trade back into the first round to get Costonzo, we should really check out Tyron Smith out of USC. Like Costonzo, he's a bit undersized, but he's a freak athlete. That's the future of the LT position at the NFL level.

    QB options poll

It seems that the Eagles are holding firm in their demands for a first round pick for Kolb. After what the Falcons received for Matt Schaub, I don't think they'll change that. If we could get him for a second round pick, that would be my first choice, I just don't see it happening. Newton has...

The Luck Decisions effect on the draft.

I'd say Carolina's choice basically comes down to Peterson, Green, and Bowers. The Panthers don't have a tremendous need at DT, and neither Dareus or Fairley are good enough (neither are Suh quality), to warrant a non-need pick at number one. For my money, I say they take Green, who is probably...

    QB Thought: Chad Pennington

Five years ago maybe. With that said, next year (depending on what our QB situation is) we should consider taking Kellen Moore from BSU in the third round. He'll be just as good as Pennington, but without the injury and with a little better arm strength (although not much). Probably one of the...

    No way Green takes Cutler

Cutler is a very mobile quarterback. Mallet's biggest problem is his lack of mobility and pocket presence (to go along with some poor footwork). His throwing mechanics are fine. Now this isn't to say that Skelton is the QBOF, but Mallet certainly isn't either.

    What is wrong with Mallet?

Mallet's better than DA by alot (not that that's saying much), but is going to develop Joey Harrington syndrome after ten games behind our line. Now, DeMarcus Love and DJ Williams are Hogs that I'd love to see on Big Red.

    What is wrong with Mallet?

Ryan Mallet is a highlight reel guy, He'll make some throws that are accurate, powerful, and right on the money. Problem, probably half the posters on this board are more mobile in the pocket that he is. With the atrocious line that the cardinals have, and against an NFL caliber defense, he's...

    Walter Football mock draft

If the draft plays out like the walterfootball mock suggests, we should take Robert Quinn in that spot. While Bowers might be the top ranked defensive lineman (and for good reason), Quinn is the best suited for the 3-4. He's a top five talent who get suspended for something that really isn't...

What's the best QB to draft for this team?

Jake Locker. Mallet would get murdered behind this offensive line, the guy cannot move around the pocket. Locker has the mobility, and plays for an awful team with an awful offensive line. He's been carrying the Huskies for basically his entire career, and would be able to handle playing for a...

Suns AND Hornets want to hire Demps as GM

This all depends on Dell's relationship with Babby. Babby is Tim Duncan's agent, so I'm sure they've had some experience together. The autonomy that he'd have with the Hornets gig has to be appealing, but I think that the Suns are a better situation. Sarver might be a bad owner, but we're in...

LB and TPE for Turk and Childress

J-Rich has a good post up game for a guard, but he's not a low post player, nor should he be. Team's don't succeed with a guard as a low post guy, especially when they have traditional centers like we do. And a running team doesn't need a low post player. That's the point of the system. We...

LB and TPE for Turk and Childress

Depends on your definition of reliable. I consider Nash, Hill, and Turk to all be reliable scorers. AK would average at least 12 points a game, probably more, in this system. Scoring really isn't our problem. Remember '06? I have faith in this team to manufacture offense, it's never really been...

LB and TPE for Turk and Childress

When your two other starting perimeter players are 40% 3 point shooting guys, you don't really need your two to spread the floor. The offense should work with Turk and Nash taking turns driving and handling the ball, while one is creating and facilitating the offense, the other will be in a...
