    I worked for the UA for 10 years. Universities spend crazy money on things they would never spend it on, in the private sector. 10 years in the state system and 4 years in municipal government soured me sufficiently to leave and never return. Some great folks in public sector, some lemons too...

    Crazy how splotchy we've been at the plate. I don't know that Gallen will ever be what he was; I don't think this is slump, it might be his new normal. The sad thing is that the world is seeing the Dbacks they thought, not the ones that ground down the Phillies and swept the Dodgers
