Did a potential deal for Hopkins unravel?

Possibly, according to "NFL Rumors" article on MSN: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-rumors-chiefs-trade-for-deandre-hopkins-unraveled-by-unlikely-source/ar-AA1bXlK4?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=77197e13f2034567956911d8509c256b&ei=56

    KM Article on MSN

Just posting the link for those wanting to read the article off MSN. Interesting perspective on the QB market. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/could-recent-trade-frenzy-make-kyler-murray-more-likely-to-try-to-force-his-way-out-now/ar-AAVuKQJ?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=217c232fbea64f6fbdc25bb8e62f861c

    1970: Cards-38 Cowboys-0

how in the world did Jim Hart manage to catch & tackle the Cowboy defensive back to save a TD on that interception, and yet and ENTIRE team - including wide receivers - couldn't catch James Harrison in 99 yards ... :thud:

Kingsbury Finalizing a Deal To Become TheArizona Cardinal's Head Coach

The last time the Cardinals hired a brilliantly minded offensive coach with no NFL experience was a guy named Don Coryell from San Diego State. That worked out pretty well until Papa Bidwill refused to listen to Don and focus on drafting some defensive players -- of course things started to fall...

Cardinals' HC Search Thoughts Part V

I hope Michael's people get him your suggestion. If the Cards could get DeFilippo what would you think of Kurt Warner as a QB coach? especially with a QBOF....Has Warner ever shown an interest in coaching?

    The Bottom Line: Offensive Line

Is some of it that the QB position has changed for most of football (e.g.: toward the highly mobile QB) and some teams (e.g.: the Cardinals) want a traditional "pocket passer", but lineman coming out of college have geared their skills more toward the mobile QB.... more fluid, able to run away...

    The Bottom Line: Offensive Line

Not too much to read. Excellent analysis. Thanks for your insight. The Cardinals do not appear to be alone in the struggle to build a cohesive offensive line. This seems to be the common weak link when an NFL team is below average. The Seahawks don't seem to have figured it out the last...

What ever happended to Robert Nkemdiche?

Very interesting - and I'd say fair - assessment of Nkemdiche. Will he eventually pan out? he has the physical attributes. I believe he's in the right environment to succeed (there are some leaders on that defense that should be motivation to him). What is holding him back...

    Always nice to be First

Steelers #1 in the AFC. A Cardinals-Steelers rematch in the SuperBowl? Of course, I'll take any SuperBowl birth, BUT I can't stand the thought of potentially losing to them again...Steeler fans are beyond obnoxious (at least the ones I know). On the other hand....BEATING them in the SuperBowl...

OT: Cardinals Future, If They Win The Superbowl

I'll take that chance for a Cardinals SB win. :)

    My wife now understands why.......

I agree with several opinions in this thread. Yes, as a life long Cards fan I am always "guarded" going into big games. I'm conditioned to not expect too much. I get aggravated at Steelers, Patriots, Cowboys fans that just "know" their team is going to win...it's a given. I just can't make...

Truth Be Told, I'd Rather Lose Like This

I feel somewhat the same way....we clearly were NOT the best team. The Panthers deserved to win. This game left NO doubt. Lick your wounds and figure out what gets you back to the Championship game next year.

Gameday thread Cardinals at Panthers NFC Championship 1-24-16

The answer to the last part of your question is: YES. All this about these players having "no heart" and not showing up to play is hogwash...the Panthers are just a much better team than us right now - playing AT HOME where they are 9-0....
