What makes Kafka so appealing is that he kept D Jones consistent. (seldom did Jones wander off the reservation). The way Jones performed early in the season was the same way he performed late in the season.
I’ve wondered also how Monti’s “no room for ego” comment squares with Payton’s “larger than life” personality and coaching style.
Perhaps Monti has more influence than we previously thought and our new HC will be more out of a NE/Belichick mold.
