The winds of change are blowing in Arizona. Gone ate Kevin Towers and Kirk Gibson, replaced by Dave Stewart and a manager to be announced. Tony LaRussa's finger prints are now firmly on the organization. What moves do they make in the off season to improve the on field product?
Chat away...
I would favor this. LaRussa, Watson and Stewart each could bring an element that would benefit the team long term.
LaRussa would set the system. Watson would be in charge of finding the talent for the long term and Stewart the monetary issues. While Stewart may be the GM by name, I think...
Agree. What's a few extra wins mean really? Bragging rights? I'd rather see them wind up with the top pick and have their choice of who to pick in a talent heavy draft.
With it looking as though Arizona is going to wind up with a top 3 pick, they are going to have their pick of some legit talent. What avenue do they travel? Do they go after Aiken or Matuella and go with the hopes that they soon could have a rotation full of potential aces with either joining...
I may be on my own but I'd like Lamb to get a crack at the 3B job next season. I also wouldn't object to them making moves at either Allen Craig, who the Sox reportedly may move, or Scott Van Slyke. I do agree there is some work to be done.

So far, two fights have been made official for the event:

Obviously, Kevin Towers is gone and a new general manager will be taking over; under the watchful eye of Tony LaRussa. What moves do you think the Diamondbacks should make or will make in order to make steps in the right direction?
This. He's also completely overhauled the locker room and made many changes in the program; including a heavy push for renovations to SDS that are currently being worked on; which lead me to believe he's here for the long run. The program in many ways is night and day from the Erickson years. I...
I am fond of the Cardinal way of operation. This organization let a player widely regarded as tje best player in baseball at the time walk and were no worse off.. The very next season, they let Loshe walk on the heels of a Cy Young quality season and went to the World Series. This past...
Beinfest was the GM for the Marlins from 2002-2013. Was badly hamstrung with the worst owner in baseball as his boss. His results of prospects and trades were a mixed bag of results. The Blue Jay salary dump has worked in their favor. Beckett for Hanley and Sanchez was good. Drafting Giancarlo...
