This is for music vids that feature a guitar part, solo, or are just guitar-centric in some way that one feels deserves a little appreciation.

I'll start with one of my personal 'White Whales' by one of my very favorite artists:

Here's a live version. I had to go way back because these days he drops it a half step and slows it down a bit.

Is everything
The almost impossible classical guitar piece composed by Steve Hackett from the "Please don't touch" album. Haven't found a clip of Steve playing it, but this guy nails it.

Oh my, that's tasty! On steel strings no less!

I was bumping around looking for something and stumbled on this, just some guy playing in the park. Pretty decent solo at the 3 minute mark.

One of my favorite guitar performances is Hershel Yatovitz on the Chris Isaak “Baja Sessions” album. Perfect Fender cleans. It sounds like music I would be more into now but it’s been a guitar touchstone since I was about 20.

I also really love Margaret Glaspy’s playing. Really simple arrangements on this album: she plays a Telecaster live but the recording is a Strat. Maybe a couple pedals but mostly just through a tweed amp IIRC.

I wish I didnt hate his vocals because I love their music

That's funny because he's in my top 10 male vocalists of all time. :) I get that he's not for everybody, though. I felt similar to you with Faith No More. Loved the tunes but just never enjoyed Patton's voice.

I love Claudio for his other talents with the guitar, music, and lyric writing as well. On top of all that he came up with the entire Amory Wars science-fiction concept that most of the albums reference. The guy is a creative fountain. I'm definitely in fan-boy territory when it comes to this band and I'm ok with that.
