On Saturday the Suns play the second game of their five game home stand against the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers (3-2) have won their last three games respectively against the Hawks, at the Nuggets and at the Clippers. Those are three pretty good teams.

Suns (1-3) have lost their last two games at the Trail Blazers and losing to the Kings at home. Obviously the Suns will have to give more than a 5-6 minute effort like against the Kings if they hope to win.

The game will be televised on Bally Sports Arizona.

Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Arizona time.

The fans might see Jalen Smith get some minutes against the Cavaliers.

watch the difference in aggression between a young big like Mobley and Ayton in a game like this.

one we could easily lose. the Cavs have been playing decent ball so far.

The Cavaliers start Jarrett Allen, Lauri Markkanen and Evan Mobley upfront. That's a big front court.

And they can bring Kevin Love off the bench.

It sounds like the Suns want to play quick so Jalen Smith enters the picture. If he can become a contributor it would be a huge lift for the team.

Maybe Monty is looking is looking for more than what Cam Johnson and Abdel Nader are providing. Johnson has only scored 6 points in the last two games and Nader 8.

The consistent theme with the Suns during the first four games is that they can't hit 3-point shots or guard 3-point shooters.

Considering the way Nader has played so far, I want to give Stix a chance at his minutes. Could not really do a lot worse, and he might surprise.

I'm good with it. Let's see what Stix can do.

If he can play, it would pay huge dividends later in the season.

The Cavaliers play at the Lakers tonight so they will be playing the Suns on the second night of back-to-back games.

I like a lot of things about Nader's game but his inability to finish is a real problem. He also seems a step slower on defense this season.

But with Payne's injury, Shamet's foot, CP3 in offseason form and Booker playing like he's got a Covid hangover, Monty is probably struggling to find the right fixes for this current mess. Hopefully they'll round into shape soon.

It's probably wishful thinking but if Stix could play backup 4 it would allow Cam Johnson to backup Bridges which I think would be the ideal situation.

It may be reading too much into a slow start by the Suns but I can't help but wonder if Cam has beefed up too much.

I like the bigger Cam. His mins are kinda random like Monte forgets he's on the bench. I'd like to see him get more.
Sadly Stix just isn't ready for prime time. He can have good mins and needs them I'm all for giving him garbage mins to improve but beyond that he's a liability.
When we figure out how to hold a lead he could get some playtime.

No new injuries reported for Suns. Of course Cam Payne remains out.

An injury report has not been submitted for Cavaliers.

Suns are not sharp with 3 turnovers already. Also only 3-8 from field.

They trail 14-6.

Suns can't make baskets (4-12) which is a familiar theme.

Thank goodness for Bridges (3-3) as he is the Suns leading scorer with 6 points.

Cavaliers lead 17-12 with 5:09 in 1st.
