Disappointed in Varsho after winning Southern League MVP last year. As troubling as his hitting is he doesn’t really have a position. I think the organization might’ve known this when they extended Peralta.

He wasn't anywhere near ready for MLB this year. Give him time...and a competent manager...

The D-backs, in its development of young players, is lacking a key ingredient -- TEAM COMMITMENT!

Varsho is a catcher. No, he is a center fielder. He is a bottom of the order hitter. No, he is a leadoff hitter. After being
a power hitter in the Minors.

Ketel is a second baseman. No, he is a center fielder. He is an RBI guy. No, he is a leadoff hitter. No, he is a #2 hitter.

Calhoun is a leadoff hitter. No, he is a cleanup hitter. And who is our Designated Hitter? Any one of ten different players.
It is a now a hitting position in the lineup, which requires its own skillset. Sit on the bench except for 4-5 at-bats.

Torey is a contradiction of himself. On one hand, he is inconsistent. Every day is a new beginning. But, on the other hand,
he rigidly plans assigned days off weeks in advance, no matter what. There has been nothing solid about his approach.

OK, that is my opinion. Although it is backed up by facts. Here is the biggest fact of alL WE ARE A LAST PLACE TEAM!
You can't even say we are in a rebuilding mode with the obstacle course he sets up for our young players.

A team who threw in the towel and had a fire sale. All because Torey Lovullo is not a leader. He is in over his head.
With a passive personality. And an apparent case of Attention Deficit Disorder. The combination of which is a kiss of
death to a person in a leadership role. Shy and inconsistent!

As manager, his shortcomings are magnified 40 times, by the cloud he places over his roster of players. He sets the tone.

If the Front Office doesn't want to eat his contract, send him to one our Minor League teams to be a Bench Coach. Maybe
he'll be able to find himself a Bench Coach position with a Major League team. The shy go-fer who won't offend anyone.
