Not really--not from the studio perspective, anyway. The global box office will tank with Chinese theaters closed. For us? Yeah, it's pretty dumb. I'd been half convinced to watch it, but now? Probably not. Go suck up to China some more, and ignore the American audience. Two can play that game.
Not just a China thing. You don’t think people are going to stop attending mass congregations here? It’ll happen.

A co-worker (Networking in a school district) just had a meeting canceled because a particular vendor said all non-essential meetings for the time being will need to be canceled or handled remotely (conference call, webex, etc.) until further notice. Less human interaction.

*shrug* might as well cancel my Stubs membership, then. If only crappy, low budget we-don't-care-about-congregating movies get released, I'll say buh-bye to going to the movies.

Already happening in my company. All non-essential/critical travel is suspended and requires COO approval. The vast majority of our calls are to be video conferencing until further notice. I am not racking up any miles anytime soon.

My goodness this is going to be an amazing swan song for Craig:

Good god I love James Bond!

the score alone just made 2020 a little less awful.

I bet this gets pushed to next year.

probably depends if Tenet has legs moving forward. It opened on the low end of expectations. If it doesn’t leg it out to solid box office, I doubt other studios are going to be lining up to drop their 200 million dollar movies to do the same.

Wonder Woman 1984 just got pushed back to Christmas. Only a matter of time before this does again too.

Craig topped Skyfall two movies before Skyfall.

Casino Royal?

thats was awesome to but for my money Skyfall is clearly the best of the Graig Bonds

but both are legit great

We've talked about this before, but Casino Royale is a great spy movie. Just not sure it's a great James Bond movie. Skyfall is a great James Bond movie.

Cant argue with that depending on what you want out of a Bond movie. For the record I think the first half of Skyfall was mind blowing but I think it got silly as it went on. Casino Royale was just perfection.

Elba, Fassbender and Cavill would all kill it.
Wouldn’t like Cavill. Don’t think he could carry the wit necessary. Too two dimensional. Fassbender wouldn’t excite me, but I’d give it a try.

Craig has played bond far longer than anyone else by this point. It's usually a ten year commitment.
Fassbender would already be in his late 40's by the time just the first of his films would come out, and Elba is five years older than him.
