We aren't in a position. You might be in a position but I'm not and I won't let weak minded people talk me into one. 5 Years from now when the herd mentality of self righteousness has worn off honest people will look back and ask themselves why they believed the utopian view of unicorns and money trees and all anyone had to do was push a button somewhere and all their troubles will go away. For me, it simply means that those of us on the lighter side of the color line have had the privilege of taking for granted many things that we've done nothing to earn. And it's not that we don't deserve those things, it's that we don't deserve them any more than any person on the other side of that color line. But no matter the words chosen, this is about treating people fairly.

So have I but that has nothing to do with the concept of "white privilege". I don't think the words mean the same thing to you as they are intended to mean.

Although the definition of "white privilege" has been somewhat fluid, it is generally agreed to refer to the implicit or systemic advantages that people who are deemed white have relative to people who are not deemed white; it is the absence of suspicion and other negative reactions that white people experience.
