5.5 games back with the Giants right on their heels. Unless they go off winning 8 of 10 or 10 of 12, this season is done. There is no indicating they can even manage to pull something like that off.

Both radio and TV should quit talking wild card until they pull off a run like that. They just sound stupid.

After giving up three 1st inning runs and being no-hit for most of the game yesterday, you're right.

Even the announcers should not try to hide that, before the D-backs can think about being good,
they need to figure out how to stop being bad.

There is no easy answer for their pitching. Their staff is now the most undependable in the league.

The hitting answer should be easier. Bat to score runs rather than hit meaningless solo home runs.

Gallen really looks like a legit young pitcher . Bad news is our anemic offense can’t seem to get going .

Gallen has allowed 32 baserunners in 4 starts as a Diamondback. That low ERA isn’t going to last unless he improves his control significantly.

The Brewers know that two solo HR's early to take the lead
are better than two near the end with the game out of hand.

Brewers lead 2-0 in the top of the 6th.

The inability of the D-backs to score meaningful runs is not
a happy situation.

This team just lacks talent. We have a few good pieces but we are a few years away from being competitive .

A single with the bases loaded in the 7th drives
in two for the Brew Crew. 4-0.

Hey, D-backs. Y' see? That's how it's done. :)

BB just pointed out that the D-backs, who were
the best fielding team in the league, have lost
that skill, along with the hitters disappearing.

They stop hitting and you stop fielding. Why?

Does the pathetic pitching unmotivate the
position players to try too hard . . . or perhaps
say, "What's the use? Every man for himself."?
