Chelsea drew at Huddlesfield today meaning that Liverpool only need a draw against Brighton this weekend to secure top 4.

We could always secure it by winning against Real anyway.... :)
True. Brighton have been good at home but Liverpool should at least pick up that point there. Cannot wait for the UCL finish and the World Cup.

Karius with a disaster of a game

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
he found his early season form. he had been doing well for quite a while. Bale was phenomenal only mistake was not serving up Ronaldo there at the end. but that shows Madrid's quality when you can bring Bale of the bench and have him do something like that.

feel bad for salah...but not Liverpool's moment yet.

what a goal by bale.

Man. What a terrible way to end a pretty amazing season. Karius will go down in history. How bad Karius was overshadowed how tremendously awesome Bale's goal was.

Watching Salah go down was truly painful.

Ronaldo was wide open at the end, but if you want the replay, there really wasn't a passing lane for Ronaldo.

It really hurts to lose the way that we lost. 2 of the worst goalkeeping errors you will ever see and Salah getting injured..... Liverpool were the better team until he got injured.

2 years, 2 European finals, 2 losses for Liverpool. Oh so close.

I agree with all. I think Liverpool made huge strides this year especially defensively. they definitely need a goalkeeper.

In the end Madrid were the best side in this tournament. The only top side they did not face was City, but they showed last night they are still above Liverpool from a quality standpoint. Not to say on another day Liverpool could not take them down because Madrid needed some breaks along the way to their trophy... with all of this said it was interesting to see bale and Ronaldo make comments after the game as if they both want to leave. I understand bale wanting to leave, but I wonder if Ronaldo and some of the others realize that their grip could be slipping. It is good to see the English clubs rising in Europe. I hope it continues.

Man, this is shaping up to be a crazy year for Liverpool. Allison, Fabinho, Keita coming in with only Can leaving is definitely a good transfer window. Liverpool should contend for a title this year and has to win at least 1 trophy somewhere.

they've had the best offseason no? it seems like this window has been a quiet one for transfers. the price has been driven so high teams seem reluctant to spend. a lot of players rumoured to leave stayed with their club. but Liverpool were aggressive and already had a great side before. Yes Liverpool need to win a trophy and I think they will be looking for the premier league title as will city, manU, and spurs. don't know if Chelsea have done anything to put themselves back in the top 4. now Liverpool have the depth to rest guys in the other tournaments and still get results.

Even as a 'Pool fan it's hard to say that they didn't have the best offseason. They got better on every end of the pitch and already had arguably the best attacking trio in the world.

and if the gossip is true and they get pulisic next year I am going to think about switch teams....just joking of corse, but I am starting to think that may happen if Klopp does want him.

I think their biggest get is at keeper. He's the one that gives you a fighting chance against City. The only reason I won't pick Liverpool outright is because of how absolutely incredible City are. I just can't bet against them, especially now they've added Mahrez (sp?).

I hope they don't. He needs to be starting week in, week out, and he won't do that at Liverpool. If he signed for Newcastle, that would be a different story... :)

he does need to be playing. but he would really fit well on an attacking side like Liverpool, spurs, or city. of corse those clubs have a plethora of attacking players so he is better off for now where he is. everyone seems to think Bayern are going to get him but pulisic has vowed not to play there?

Tell me about it. Salah has become a bit selfish lately. Luckily it didn't cost them.

Liverpool almost threw away points against PSG but Firmino comes in gives them the win in extra time.

I missed all of the games last night :( maybe that's a good thing though since Inter ripped the spurs at the end. Heard pulisic scored the winner against brugge

Snoozer in the big one vs city

definitely a let down, unless you enjoy hearing the Liverpool supporters cry about officiating for 90 mins. and that penalty miss was horrid. the ball is still flying up.

Down to the wire. I don't think that they are able to gain on City, but they will be within 3 points. Hell of an achievement considering they were 25 points off of the chase last year.

I think you're about right on both. They might end up with a Liverpool points record and still not win the title. Although I kind of wish they'd nick the title by 2 points, meaning Newcastle cost Man City the title.

3 games to go and need City to slip up. I can't believe that a draw to Leicester in JANUARY might decide the title.

Can't believe I will be cheering on Man U on Wednesday.

Barca in the semi's in the Champions League as well. Man oh man.

Newcastle beating Man City have kept Liverfool in it.

Stopped by the casino to do a prop bet for the NFL draft, only to find they don't do those. So I dropped 5 bucks to win 50 on Newcastle beating Liverfool instead :)
