They say Russ wants to be in NY because the Yankees own his baseball rights. He may want to either pull double duty or slowly transition into baseball.

I would bet NY to be better for his wife's career, too...more in the spotlight.

Wilson would not be happy in as either and we don’t have the cap room either.

The 6, 17, 37 for the number 1 so Seattle can take Murray is the most realistic.

Wilson just agreed on a massive new deal, as expected.

Some pathetic reports in this thread. That was worse **** than all this draft rumour **** over the last couple months.

Making him the highest paid QB is crazy unfortunately every QB that comes up for a new deal will become the new highest paid QB.

I think Wison could be traded but no one woułd pay that price considering Wilson’s salary expectation.

On 6/22/17, Derek Carr pushed the new-money average for QBs to a record of $25M per year. Less than 22 months later, Russell Wilson pushes the new-money average for QBs to a record of $35M per year.

Seahags will likely now have to go cheap on several backup/depth roster spots now.Probably means more low cost rookies make the team.Even with the top 51 ccounting against the CAP Seahags will probably tighten the belt in other positions.

This is one reason why the Patriots have sustained success - a QB with a wife that makes far more money than he does, so he can afford to leave millions on the table every year.

Imagine if the Pats had to pay Brady his real value - they wouldn't have been able to afford many of the other pieces on the team.

And the good news is that with $140M tied up in the QB position, they won't be able to add too much to their team. Especially, considering they still have to pay Bobby Wagner.
