Just read on main site - that he is leaning on Keim and Bidwill- and they don’t care if they know the coaches before - exact opposite of how I see good staffs put together. We are going to pass ourselves to death again - teams I see in the playoffs run a lot! And well -

It's the trend of the NFL. Adapt or die.

Pagano would be a great hire. He can build this defense up again to kick some ass and give advice to KK regarding how to run the team.
Honestly wondering why Pagano is highly regarded as a potential DC?
Code:
                Defe Defe Defe
Year Tm Role Yds Pts TkA
2011 BAL DC 3 3 13
2012 IND HC 26 21 30
2013 IND HC 20 9 15
2014 IND HC 11 19 10
2015 IND HC 26 25 12
2016 IND HC 30 22 26
2017 IND HC 30 30 20

As HC in Indianapolis, his defenses were consistently horrible.

The one year he was an NFL DC, in Baltimore, his D was ranked #3. But that followed three consecutive years of #3 rankings under previous DC's Rex Ryan and Greg Mattison... so basically, he maintained the status quo.

Meh.

please hell no to Sarkisian

I have the same thought as this, his offenses in ATL ranked in the top 10 both years he was there but for whatever reason it always felt like they weren’t playing as well as they should considering the talent.

Pagano is my #2 to Marvin Lewis. The ORIGINAL Baltimore 3-4 guy that Pagano replaced for only one season IIRC.

We will have a new wr’s coach. We lost our current one last night. I can’t find the tweet because I’m half asleep.

Kevin Garver. We blocked him from interviewing last year (you can see tweet at bottom) due to relationship with Fitz.

We let him out of his contract now to join Arians.

The odds of keeping Fitz may have just dropped a bit but I still think he comes back.

BA is proving to be a thorn in our side these days. Losing all my goodwill with him built up after a year of Wilks.

I know CKK claims he does run a "pure" Air Raid, but one thing I do know about the system is the premium they put on WR development...

Not in the physical, measurable sense, but in a mental sense (exploiting zones and sharing mental models with everyone in the route & QB) and specialize to the point where most Air Raid staffs have an "Inside" Receivers coach and an "Outside" Receivers coach...

So I wouldn't read too far into the poaching aspect, BA or Licht might have asked the FO and were cleared hot.

Jurecki refers to Seahawks being denied access/not Tampa Bay - Which is it: Seattle, TB or both?

Forget about the politics for a moment. Reflecting on (ughh!) this past year's Cardinals' WR production - why would Garver be so highly coveted? What do the Cards, Seahags or Bucs know that we don't know?

Pure Air Raid is Mike Leach. Nobody runs the offense like him. He is extremely stubborn and has the thinnest playbook you will ever see. This is very effective in college but would probably not work in NFL where you need to make adjustments.

Kliff has added way more layers to Leach’s system and he will change the offense when he feels it is necessary. The RPO stuff you see Mahomes running in KC comes from Kliff instead of Leach.

Having said the above, Kliff did have both inside receivers coach and outside receivers coach at Tech. Not sure if he will be allowed to replicate that coaching dynamic in NFL.

Thanks for the insight DRM08, I think most staffs have multiple assistants to the position coach, so it should be easy to have two specialists.
