Will the Pac 10 expand to 12 teams as well?

Is this the future of college ball?

Say the Pac 10 added Colorado and Colorado St.

Iowa goes to the Big XII.

Notre Dame and Pittsburgh go to the Big 11 1/2.

One 12 team indepent conference?

Setting the stage for a playoff?

I hope not - I hate the conference championships, plus thats that many less games you play against division opponents.

More likely than Iowa leaving the Big 10 would be Missouri going to the Big 10. If not MO, then Pitt would be a great fit.

If the PAC-10 expanded, look for them to grab either:
Texas and Colorado
Texas and Texas A&M
Utah & BYU
Utah & Colorado

Big 12 would add Colorado St/Utah/BYU depending on what the Pac 10 took.

Why would MO be a better in the Big 10?

I also don't see Texas going anywhere. They've finally got the Big XII recruiting battle in hand, and have rivalries with OU, TT and a new rivalry with NU.

I think you ought to add 34 teams to the PAC 10 and then change the name to the Dallas to Denver Conference---that way the new conference would be known as the Big 44DD.

Missouri does not have a true rival in the Big 12. Missouri's biggest rival is Illinois. This would give MO a true conference rival.

Academically, the Big 10 is the nation's premier conference. The conference is not only athletic, but the member teams have academic/research ties (Univ of Chicago is still an academic member). The Big 10 is the only conference where all of its members are in the Association of American Universities - the premier group of research/graduate colleges in North America - currently, only 7 of the Big 12 schools are in it (MO, IA ST, NE, KS, TX, Tx A&M and COLO).

The Pac10 is less attractive to Texas now that they are in the Big 12 - I think the PAC 10 would have a hard time prying away Texas or A&M.

I'm a big Pac-10 fan (Bear Down) but I see leaving the Big 12 a step down at this point. If you're associated with Nebraska and Oklahoma in football, you don't want to go anywhere.

The Big 11 will certainly add a 12th team and my guess is Pitt to give Penn State a conference buddy.

The names I hear for the Pac-10 are Utah and BYU. I think I'd rather stay at 10. What I am in favor of is expanding to a 9-game conference schedule and playing everybody else every year.

I've heard the Pac-10 adding Colorado St. and BYU.

I think it would be kind of cool to add some new blood. A Pac-10(12) championship game in football would be good national exposure I think.

To me, Air Force and BYU would make better choices.

Bt the way, the commish of the Pac 10 was on with Roc and Wolf today and he said there would be no expansion for the Pac 10.

THE MISSOURI-KANSAS SERIES
The Missouri Tigers and Kansas Jayhawks will meet for the 110th time this Saturday in Lawrence, Kan. The MU-KU rivalry is the oldest rivalry west of the Mississippi River. How good has this series been? The all-time series is even, 50-50-9. Both teams enter Saturday's contest with records of 2-3 (1-2 in the Big 12 Conference). Kansas has won each of the last two contests and three of the last four. Below is a breakdown of the all-time series
