If the PAC-10 expanded, look for them to grab either:
Texas and Colorado
Texas and Texas A&M
Why would MO be a better in the Big 10?
I also don't see Texas going anywhere. They've finally got the Big XII recruiting battle in hand, and have rivalries with OU, TT and a new rivalry with NU.

I've always said that.
I think you ought to add 34 teams to the PAC 10 and then change the name to the Dallas to Denver Conference---that way the new conference would be known as the Big 44DD.

Missouri does not have a true rival in the Big 12. Missouri's biggest rival is Illinois. This would give MO a true conference rival.
Academically, the Big 10 is the nation's premier conference. The conference is not only athletic, but the member teams have academic/research ties (Univ of Chicago is still an academic member). The Big 10 is the only conference where all of its members are in the Association of American Universities - the premier group of research/graduate colleges in North America - currently, only 7 of the Big 12 schools are in it (MO, IA ST, NE, KS, TX, Tx A&M and COLO).
The Pac10 is less attractive to Texas now that they are in the Big 12 - I think the PAC 10 would have a hard time prying away Texas or A&M.
I'm a big Pac-10 fan (Bear Down) but I see leaving the Big 12 a step down at this point. If you're associated with Nebraska and Oklahoma in football, you don't want to go anywhere.
The Big 11 will certainly add a 12th team and my guess is Pitt to give Penn State a conference buddy.
The names I hear for the Pac-10 are Utah and BYU. I think I'd rather stay at 10. What I am in favor of is expanding to a 9-game conference schedule and playing everybody else every year.

THE MISSOURI-KANSAS SERIES
The Missouri Tigers and Kansas Jayhawks will meet for the 110th time this Saturday in Lawrence, Kan. The MU-KU rivalry is the oldest rivalry west of the Mississippi River. How good has this series been? The all-time series is even, 50-50-9. Both teams enter Saturday's contest with records of 2-3 (1-2 in the Big 12 Conference). Kansas has won each of the last two contests and three of the last four. Below is a breakdown of the all-time series
