The indoor practice facility won't have anything to do with tailgating. If anything, it will take away from tailgating in the grass field (band field) because that's where it will be built.
There's no way the University will allow tailgating (definitely not alcohol) in a brand new football facility and the football team will make sure that happens. Tailgating isn't even allowed on their current practice field nor is it allowed on their turn practice field. They don't want their turf or facilities being gradually ruined by tailgaters. The only tailgating experience I can see happening in the new indoor facility would be for booster events. Even then, they already use the pavilion on the east side of the mountain.
