New Mexico is too although it appears they'll run out of time, they've made up 16 points in the 2nd half but have a minute left down 7.

At this point I'll be 8-0 for the day after only 11-5 yesterday. 2 guys in the group I'm in went 15-1 yesterday.

I didn't go there. My dad went there and indoctrinated me with weekly football games in Tucson. He didn't live there after school (I never lived there) but he lives there now.

Never cared one way or the other about ASU. I have some friends that went there. I root for them, but not actively and not against UA.

Anyway.

New Mexico trying to stay in it against Villanova, down 5 with 29 sec left.

This has been a very tame first round so far. Not a lot of very good games. The favorites, for the most part, have been winning in unspectacular fashion. Hopefully, the "madness" gets going tonight and over the weekend.

The way Rick Majerus talked up the Lobos last night, I was wishing I could rework my brackets to get them into the Final Four. He kept talking about Granger and their three "great" three point shooters. They couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a bass fiddle in the first half.

The guy on radio was arguing that it's "proof" that the seeding and RPI stuff works, that the fewer upsets by seed we see are a direct result of a more scientific approach to seeding teams.

I have to agree although it's inherently more boring.

There's also less great players because they're all in the NBA so you don't get these kids like Fennis Dembo or that kid from Dayton years ago that explode during the tournament.

And lost!

Louisville won in a squeaker, as did Wisconsin.

Duke won by 12.

Well, that was more like it tonight! Two good upsets.

The Pac 10 has sucked bad though. Every team out except UofA and Washington, and they were not impressive in their wins. They could have their hands full against UAB and Pacific.
