15.3% Phoenix Suns
So the question of the day is, if someone offered you 5:1 on the Suns winning the title, would you take it?
I think I wouldn't, but it's close.

7) If Dirk Nowitzki's and Mark Cuban's Mavs meet Steve Nash's Suns in Round 2, who wins?
82.1% Suns
17.9% Mavs
I think we're getting more that enough respect. In fact I think these numbers are crazy, Dallas will be an extremely tough out if we have to play them.

It looks normal to me, But that dallas/phoenix rnd 2 match-up is a landslide. I dont think it will happen if they do actually meet.
Dallas matches up well, and very capable of scoring in the 120+ region to beat other offense-oriented teams.

This is a fan poll!
There's no science to it. How many times is the High School Student Body President the most capable leader in the school?
It comes down to a popularity contest. Due to last years pathetic season few of the Suns games were carried on national TV. A lot of people haven't had the exposure to the team.
The other thing is that there are probably a lot of people being polled who, like me, vote for "their team" even though they aren't considered to be a true contender. I just wouldn't get to bent out of shape over it.

I think high school students are smarter than you think. Most realize they're electing the guy who will help decide where the senior trip will be. Most realize they're NOT electing the principal, which would be taken far more serious. They elect the guy that goes to the most parties, so he knows the senior trip should be in Cabo or Daytona Beach, not space camp.
Most people are smart enough to know there's no repercussion in these polls. David Aldridge isn't going to call them at work and ask them what hallucinogenic drug motivated them to vote for the Cavs to win it all. They either vote their heart or the favorite.

I didn't mean that I think the Suns should be at the top of the list. At this point, no one is a lock. I am excited to see that there are some different teams that are seen as true contenders. My point was that the online polls seem to me to be interesting for what they are. I am just not going to see the results as any kind of a true prediction of the end result.

We all know that. The purpose was to show overall perception.
