He's really good at it. And he apparently taught Nash the same trick. Kurt Thomas came to the Suns fully equipped with a flop, and that's really difficult to sell for a big man defending big men.

Yes but every title contending team in history has had one or more "floppers".... it is just the way it is...

This year it seems the only way to stop Amare is to flop.

Ban the flop and Amare gets 40 a night.

I don't get this video. I didn't see a single "flop". All I saw were shots of Bell getting "rammed" into, taking major hits/charges. I always thought that a "flop" was when someone falls or flails around with "little or no contact". All I could see here was a smart player properly positioning himself and taking legitimate hard charges.

What am I missing here?

If it is the 'Raja Flop', why do other teams incorporate it... btw, this tape is clearly a San Antonio production. No where is the Ginoboli 'shot from a canon' flop represented. That has been an NBA staple for years now.

How about Bell arching backwards and creating a great illusion? The truth is when you see charging for real, especially between guards of similar size, they look more like a tree falling. So very rarely does a ball handler carelessly plow into a defender with such great force they knock them back 10 feet. When you see one defender getting knocked back like that two or three times a game, it's the cue to start paying more attention to who's initiating the contact, how it's initiated and whether or not the speed/mass of the offender is equal to the reaction of the defender after contact was made.

I think it is a Mavs' production, pretty much every shot has something Dallas with it and I think Del Harris is the coach at the beginning.

Pretty funny video though.
