On "Hardwood Classics" on NBATv, they have a lot of old Bulls/Kinicks games. They had clips of Cartwright talking about how much video he had studied of Ewing in preparation.

I thought "how come you never hear that from players today?"

I think that it's just understood that it's done. I can't fathom a player in this league wouldn't study video of the player's he'll be defending before a game.

I expect we'll hear more about video prep than under D'Antoni because Mike was not as concerned about his opponent because they were forced to respond to his team. Knowing what another team did in other games never mattered because they'd have a totally differnt game plan for the Suns.

Yup. And I'll be at the game.

However, unlike many, mostly bandwagon, Cowboys fans, I'll actually be sober and moderately quiet. I'm a local but come from a family of Cowboys fans. (Grandparents lived in Texas.) So it's how I was raised.

I always want the Cardinals to do well. They're my 1a team. But this week I'll have to root against them.

Sorry about going off topic for a minute!

"Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late." - Jack Handy
