'Sonics' has been sold!
The Seattle Times reports that the Sonics have been sold to someone from Oklahoma.

Interesting... I know that they have been looking for a team there, since they did so well playing up there for New Orleans.
Wonder if he wants to move the team, since there are stadium issues that even David Stern is concerned about.

And the name Sonics would fit well in Oklahoma City - home of Sonic Drive-Ins.

Well, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't call them the Bombers, although, thanks to CNN, it just rolls off the tongue.

RIP Seattle Supersonics.
It's gotta be a foregone conclusion the team's moving, because this same group offered a wad of cash to Shinn for the sole purpose of moving the team to Oklahoma City.

its hard to imagine how a basketball team cant survive in Seattle.
they've got the seahawks and mariners, who i think are doing quite well.

If the Sonics do move to OKC, it could cause a shakeup of the divisions. Oklahoma City isn't in the Northwest...
