Practice makes perfect?
Shawn Marion's three-point accuracy by month this season:
Nov .268
Dec .403
Jan .369
Feb .426
Mar .429
And .429 so far in April.
If he makes more than 40% of them, it's pretty hard to complain when he takes them. He is #11 in the league in three-pointers made, while being only #15 in number attempted.
And how's this for a comparison: he has attempted 30 fewer on the year than Paul Pierce -- but made 19 more!

Shawn Marion is just hitting his stride and will be an excellent all star for the next few years.
He does things such as his quick rebounding and quick shots that not many other players can do, not to mention his running the floor like a gazelle and being a good person.
The other day someone on here said he would trade Marion and a first round pick for Carmelo............!
My reaction to that is I would not trade Marion & a first for Carmelo, I would not trade Marion for Carmelo, but would trade a first for Carmelo.
I hope people realize that the NBA takes a few years and Carmelo is an excellent prospect but he is going to take a few years and he may never be as good as Marion.
Marion is a proven talent, you only trade talent like that for other proven all star talent................period!!!

You'd trade a future mid-first round pick for the second or third overall pick in the upcoming draft? That's mighty big of you.
Let me guess: if necessary, you'll throw in Casey Jacobsen?

Anyone noticed that Marion averages like 26/12/4/4/1 in April? This is no joke.
On a side note, I read that Marbury will travel with And1 in the summer. Is Shawn also travelling with them? He is under contract with And1 isn't he? And he also was spending time with Steph last season at Rucker and other games.
I mean travelling with And1 might actually help Shawn's game a little bit. I certainly expect more improvement from Shawn next year, like he has always done.
This years draft looks weak out of the top3 there are only a handful of players I like. Sofoklis Shortsianitis has apparently measured in a 6'10 in shoes and turns only 18 right before the draft. Dwayne Wade rocks and Darius Rice is my favorite player probably but when I thought about a comparision I am scared that he could be just a more athletic Dan Langhi and ESPN Insider
says that he might not declare. Same for TJ Ford, Emeka Okafor and Ben Gordon.
How many spots could we probably move up if we threw in Clevelands pick? Or should we try to trade our first round pick for a high second round pick and a veteran?

Easy there elindholm!
You are reading something into that message that I did not say or mean.
I was trying to say that no way would I trade Shawn Marion, by himself for Carmelo............surely not with a 1st round pick.
I did not say anything about the mid-first round pick..........
I was just trying to make a point of Marions worth.
So, I guess in reading your message, you would trade Marion & a first round pick for Carmelo?

When I read this in your post, I also thought that you meant you would trade the Suns Mid-first rd pick for Carmelo Anthony.

If he can increase his assists per game, and get to the free throw line more. He will be the best SF in the game... IMO

Come on KG is a PF same with Dirk. Sure they can play SF but Marion plays C for the Suns also. Would that make him the one of the best C in the game.
