Official Suns Vs Spurs Thread.
I have the strangest feeling that Phoenix is going to tear the Spurs apart tonight at home. They know that this game is HUGE, and have been playing so well lately. ...This is even with SA winning, what, 11 straight?
Suns 108
Spurs 101

Worse still. SA has won 17 of last 18 according to the AZ Republic.
We MUST win tonight. Lose and we are done, IMO, unless Houston screws up big time. Starbury has got to do his usual matador job on the SA guards.

I hope the Suns don't become too relaxed. Some of their quotes make it sound like they are already in the playoffs.

Unfortunately I feel like the Suns are going to lose tonight in a close game, but they will blow out both Portland and Seattle. I hope I'm wrong. I hope they can just get things taken care of tonight.

Even these guys SHOULD know the magic number still stands at 1. So I hope they will be fired up. We play the Spurs well and they are due for a loss sometime soon... hopefully tonight.
Suns 105 Spurs 99
We're probably playing our best basketball of the season and so are they, so it should be an exciting ball game.
GO SUNS!

I just found out that the spurs magic number also happens to be 1. They need 1 victory to clinch homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs. Both teams should be fired up tonight, and all I know that win or loose...this should be one hell of a game

Good point. Bo Outlaw could probably use a whole week off to heal that cheek. In fact, missing him tonight against the Spurs may be the difference in the game. I'm getting nervous.

Statement time
This is a game where you send a message to the Spurs.
We are in the playoffs.
You will be playing us.
Beware...

Best of luck to you guys tonight and hopefully in the first round of the playoffs. Get rid of San Antonio in a hard-fought 7 game series or something like that.
Funny thing is: If Houston misses the playoffs, they do not get a high pick. It would go to the Grizzlies as a result of the deal which landed them Steve Francis.

Yeah, I was thinking, if I was Frank Johnson, I'd prepare the team for this game yesturday or this morning, talking about how to double Tim Duncan, how to defend Tony Parker, how to attack their press, or their zone, going over the X's and O's etc. And then tonight, when everybody got in the locker room, I'd just have one saying on the board:
"Let's Send A Message"
That's all it's about.

The second foul on
Amare was just stupid. He got fouled, and then decided to extend his arm on the shot. The kid is going to learn though...
