I'm guessing he asked for as much. At least, I would hope that was the case.

even in an all-star game Lebron, who's been ON FIRE, is too afraid of taking the last shot? man, that guy is such a mental midget it's ridiculous.

He played fewer minutes than anyone and was the only player in the entire game that didn't even attempt one shot. Im sure he wasnt that concerned about it but damn if you're gonna be on the team at least shoot it once.
This is the only thing that bothers me about Steve. A lot of times he needs to shoot MORE. I mean his percentages are off the charts so why not? I know he is a pass first point guard, everybody knows that and that's part of what makes him so great but when your main contributors are Jared Dudley and Channing Frye, you have to get yours man. I can't tell you how many times the Suns will be in a close game in the final minutes and the other team will get like an 8 point lead and then Nash will hit a couple big shots but its too late for it to matter, I'm like "Why didn't you do that 2 minutes ago when you still had a chance to win?" It's beyond frustrating sometimes. But like I said, its my only complaint.

I thought it was funny that Kobe was riding him like a rented mule about it, especially when he took it out of bounds with 1.5 left.

What bothered me is that he likely did not play so he could be rested for the Suns pointless pursuit of the 8th seed which is completely unrealistic. Yet even Coro (who I think has not written a single worthy article for more than a year by now) repeats that non-sense about how the Suns could best-case still finish 6th, lol.

That's why I keep saying to people that Wade is the rock on that team. Seriously, how can you be the best player in the NBA with such a mental deficiency?
He might be the most overall "talented" player in the NBA but he is not even the best player on his team. Wade was the better player last year and especially in the playoffs. Until I see this dude get mentally tough....I will keep saying it.

If I recall correctly, Jason Kidd went through a similar thing a few years back where he seemed inclined to prove that a PG need not shoot the ball to impact the game. Of course Jason Kidd was never a good shooter like Nash.

best of the game was when kobe was riding wade, wade was crying for a foul but still a no-call
then on the other end, wade gives kobe a nice foul and ends up hurting his nose.

I thought that was a douche move by kobe, because kobe missed a free throw and a shot that could have iced the game. Had kobe hit those shots or iced the game then I would say he had room to talk, but for me it just comes down to kobe being a great player but not a guy that I would ever want to spend time with off the court because he is a jerk.
I think kobe is trying to send a message to the league(lebron included) that he is still the man. but in reality I think last year's playoffs shows there are other guys that can outduel kobe now(in the 4th quarter of close games).

I think this was a combination of a lot of different things. one I'm sure nash asked to play low mins. two westbrook is a new all star and his coach was coaching their team. why else can you explain westbrook(a reserve) playing starter mins? if the west really wanted to win the game in the 4th (and not gift wrap an opportunity for the east like they did)..........they would have played steve nash and dirk because along with kobe those are probably the three guys in the league that I want the ball in their hands with one shot to play. I definitely don't want the ball in westbrook's hands because he gets out of control in those moments. and while everyone is on the OKC bandwagon right now, let's wait for the playoffs to see how westrbook and durant look. they had the deer in the headlights look against dallas in the 4th quarter of those games. all they did was pass the ball to dirk and watch him score.

I too was surprised they didn't play Nash and Nowitzki together in the all-star game.
