Josh Howard Injury Thread

What is his status. I heard Avery mention that he will be fine - however, that looked like it wasn't anything minor. Anyone hear an update?

I hope he is okay. We are the last team to be wishing injuries on anyone.

I hope he's fine but the evil person in me is smiling because of how much bad luck we have had. I really like Howard though, but since it's not career threatening I don't fell bad about it at all. He should be playing in the next game though.

I have to admit I was feeling the same way when he went down. I told my friends that I never wished people on the other teams to have injuries, but I did think it would make things a little more fair.

I don't believe in wishing injuries on players or celebrating injuries on the opposing team. I know your coach thinks otherwise.
It's just not cool.

Congrats on your win. You were the better team tonight.

IMO, he was just acting. At the time when he went down, the Mavs were down huge and weren't coming back. Plus, he might have felt a little embarrassed by falling like that and/or didn't want to hustle back cause the game was out of reach. The replay shows that he didn't do much to his left ankle. His ankle looked to be fine but his ego may have been bruised

What does that mean? You think D'Antoni wishes injury on the Mavs or anyone else? Are you sane?

Our coach doesen't think otherwise...I don't know why you Mavericks fans can't understand that he was just joking in the interview.

This is the comment that guy is probably talking about... I had a little waste of time discussion with some other Mavs fans who thought he was serious.

"That helps," he said. "If (Dirk) Nowitzki would get sick, that'd be even better."

D'Antoni on Josh Howard's injury.

After game 1 D'Antoni said it'd be to the Suns benefit if Howard couldn't play. Coaches care about winning more than anything, if you don't think Avery would be delighted to see Nash on crutches you haven't a clue.
