Hypothetical situation: Cleveland vs San Antonio
Game 1 of the Finals, national television. LeBron, guarded by Bruce Bowen, pulls up for a jumper. Bruce does his patented, stick his foot under the jump shooter as he's coming down. LeBron sprains his ankle badly and will miss 1-2 weeks.
What does David Stern do? After doing little or nothing to curtial Bowen's "defense" during the regular season or the rest of the playoffs, does he take action now, when Bowen has taken out the NBA's golden child on national TV?
Also, would that then make the eventual Spurs championship a double asterix?

If it did, I'd have to read about it. I am still on my self-imposed hiatus.

I would think Stern would have to do something, because I don't think Bowen would make it out of Cleveland after game 3.

Nothing would happen. Lebron would be out. Spurs would go on to win.

come on now.......that's just playoff basketball.
Stern wouldn't do a damn thing and would just say something like "injuries are part of the game.....blah blah blah".

Good collection of all of Bowen's greatest hits.

The Kobe clips give an interesting analysis of the Bowen technique of undercutting. The fact that it doesn't lead to contact all the time is less important than how it it forces the defender to worry about coming down rather than on hitting the shot.

is ANYONE watching Game 5 of Pistons-Cavs? Bron just made two sick shake moves for RIDICULOUS slams to put the Cavs up and then tie the gamein the last minute. Seems he learned his lesson from Games 1 and 2. Going to OT - Bron has 30, 9 and 7.
Seriously, it's mind-boggling to think Bron's only 22. TWENTY-TWO?! I can't even imagine how ridiculously good this guy will be when he actually enters his prime... IN SIX YEARS.
