Thanks,

THis is the time of the year I get a little carried away.

I really enjoy charting the draft and have been doing it for many years. Sometimes I pick em and some times I am way off.

I picked Finley, Nash, and some others but did not pick Amare last year.
I really did not believe that after Kwame Brown, the suns would pick a high school player.

I am very glad they did, and this tells you that the suns have good judgement when it comes to the draft.

Do you think the suns are in the top 5 for scouting depts.

I would say yes. Just look at who we have drafted in the past. The only marks have been C. Bell and S. Jackson (who are both still in the NBA and Playing) and some like Dumas (we couldn't control)
Current #1s
2002 A. Stoudemire 9 Cyp. Creek HS (Fut All-star)
2002 Casey Jacobsen 22 Stanford (looking more like Horney than Dan)
2000 Jake Tsakalidis 25 Greece (still questions could be good)
1999 Shawn Marion 9 UNLV (THE MAN!!)
1996 Steve Nash 15 Santa Clara (All-star 1 of the best)
1995 Michael Finley 21 Wisconsin (All-star 1 of the best)
1995 Mario Bennett 27 Arizona St. (Bad attitued but had talent)
1994 Wesley Person 23 Auburn (Best pure shooter around)
1993 Malcolm Mackey 27 Georgia Tech (OOPS! but traded to NY i think)

Charlie Bell was picked by the Suns as an undrafted rookie.
He plays in Europe.

I do not think that drafting of Casey Jacobsen proves how good is Suns' scouting staff.....

I have been saying that since we drafted him. Although, look at how productive Hornacek was over his career, and I think the Suns would be very happy with production out of the two spot like that, even if it was just off the bench.

To compare Casey to Horny is a joke IMO. Just because he's not as athletic as Majerele means he automatically compares to our other white shooting guard? I don't think so. Horny was deceptively quick, could thrown in the most ridiculous runners and was a dead aim shooter - one of the best this game has ever seen. All is see from Casey is him missing wide open threes and bricking free throws.

Look, I liked the pick and still think Casey has potential to be a good player, but to compare him to either Majerele or Horny is ridiculous and is purely done because of the color of his skin. As of now he compares favorbaly to a pile crap, because that's about what he was worth from the second half of the season on.

I agree. Casey is nothing like Dan or Jeff. Not yet anyhow.
